Hi, great video mate. Done a few of these myself in the same way you did. I'd only add, doing what you do, which as I say, I have done too, I would suggest, drive around 500miles, then re-drain the fluid and refill with the same amount, new fluid to allow you to get more new/clean fluid into the gearbox, it will dilute down the old fluid. Of course, a mega flush does not require this process.

Hi Jordan, great video was not game to service my 11’ 4.4TDV8 just after we bought it 2 years ago, but looks easy enough, it was getting the temps correct for checking levels that worried me so paid $900 Aud to get ZF specialists to do it, interested in how you got the temp on your phone is that with the gap IIDControl or another app, keep videos coming, cheers Mike

Yes with the GAP IID, an essential tool when working on the L322's Ouch, that cost me about £180 GBP

@@RoughRestos Thanks mate, gap iid was first thing I bought when I got car, that was transmission temp not engine temp, cheers

I use the GAP IID, It's not cheap but I wouldn't be without it, paid for itself with upgrades/coding/maintenance and suspension work

Hi, do you have an email I can contact you? I have an L322 TDV8 with coolant mixing up with the transmission... I don´t know how to fix it, and from where I leave can´t find technical support. Pls reply

Hi Rough I have a 2006 td6 140K bought it in November, was prior used extensively to tow an ifor Williams trailer moving cars.....it drove spot on until the other week 50 yards from home went up a bunk with the left wheels, it started slipping and struggled to get the right wheels up the bunk....Next day gave it a test and half a mile down the road lost all drive, turned it off and restarted , regained drive so crawled back home, no codes or msgs on dash.....the previous owner said it needed a gearbox oil change..... Haven't driven it again since but goes into gear fine... moves foward and reverse fine, what do you think is wrong ? Should I change the oil or is it too late...will it be a waste of money ?

No harm in trying, But the TD6 is coupled with the GM 5 speed transmission, well known to be the worst/least reliable L322 transmission, so it may require replacing/rebuilding

Range rover sport 2006. Transmission fault and F on dashboard. Can smell some oil overheating. 140,000 driven. Once i stop aside turn it off and then turn it on the message disappears and comes after a while.

Sounds like your transmission could be on the way out, proper diagnostics ideally are required, however you could try flushing the fluid and replacing the filter prior to that if you'd prefer

Does this also work for the Iveco 8HP box as well? Any differences?

If it's a ZF8HP then it should be very similar
