This is so interesting, I went gluten and grain free years ago but would still have occasional dizzy spells. And was getting much worse! So then found out I also have a dairy allergy and when I stopped that. It totally went away! So happy,,
Cutting gluten has radically improved my life! I wasn’t so dizzy that I was visibly affected, but I on and off was unsteady, light headed, visual symptoms, slowed reaction times, brain fog that was distressing, sudden waves of fatigue, a strange unwell feeling that broke through my “healthy person” act and almost always got someone to ask if I was okay because my face went blank, it used to be somewhat intermittent and I used to still drive until I got worse after my second baby. I was dismissed as “mom brain” or something psychological, which I’m totally not against! I just knew something was physically weird and food was such a guessing game. I was constipated almost all the time , frequently bloated, and diarrhea always included very painful cramping but wasn’t super common. Now I’m shocked I can stand on a chair, rarely need a nap, no longer suddenly feel terrible, lights don’t hurt my eyes much anymore, I don’t feel nauseous after gluten free muffins unlike gluten ones, and a lot more. I’ve not been tested for anything but was desperate enough to just try something.
I’ve suffered dizziness for years, been to a few doctors, several test were done nothing solved the problem until I self diagnosed myself and removed gluten from my diet and there goes my dizziness.
You are brilliant.Thank you for explaining this. Years ago I had extreme Vertigo and ataxia for two years straight. I had a spinal tap where they found elevated protein in my spinal fluid and the doctors at Dartmouth were all perplexed.I also have a pontine capillary telengeictases. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a gluten sensitivity via a blood test done by a Naturopath.I ate pretty well since then, but ate gluten at least once a week.I didn't realize how serious this was.Tonight, my Vertigo is back, as bad as it ever was and I am so afraid it will last a long time. I also just got of of Benzodiazapines after being on a very low dose for almost 35 years and wonder if it is from that too (except I have upper abdominal bloating). Tomorrow I will call my doctor and start from square one.
I do have neuropathy from Wheat Gluten or grains, too much sugar, alcohol, Dairy and I was raised to think I was CRAZY because it all made me disassociated and in pain.
I had Vertigo for two years too-no one knew what was wrong.I was much better for years and tonight, it is back.I hope it is gone by tomorrow. Is gluten free working for you?
@@lisamarie8406 I noticed a change after eight months. It’s a slow recovery process. One has to be positive. When I first had this. I thought I was having a nervous breakdown. Will never forget this. My diet has always been very healthy. Gluten free for a long time.
I have been sensitive to gluten opioids for about fifteen years, when I eat it I have symptoms similar to taking opioid drugs such as codeine and oxycodone. I have gastrointestinal problems and diagnosed with an absence of irreversible esophageal peristalsis of unknown origin. I suffer from mental fog, dizziness, but most of all chronic fatigue and struggling to do anything. In Gluten-free diet, many of my problems improve, but I can't stick to a gluten-free diet due to withdrawal attacks when I take it off, I have tremors, cramps muscles, cough, extreme anxiety and cold sweats that disappear when gluten reassumption. If you have any advice on what to do I would be enormously grateful.
I repositioned the phone later in the broadcast and I think that helped, but I will know better for next time to place the phone in that location. Let me know if you have any questions.
