DJ Akademiks shared the horrific details of a home invasion attempt at his residence. Akademiks said he broke his rule of not allowing anyone into his house when his girlfriend's friend paid them a visit. He later found out the friend was dating a career criminal whose illicit circle planned to rob him. He vividly described how two men armed with an AK-47 and a Glock, tried to force their way into his house. However, upon hearing the noise from the house, the intruders panicked and raced back to their car just as police arrived at the scene. Despite the law enforcement's immediate response, they failed to nab the culprits due to the lack of a chase law in New Jersey. The invasion left Akademiks questioning the effectiveness of the police department.

I went to a neighborhood the other day that had an armed guard that stopped every car that comes into the neighborhood. And there’s spikes to stop the car from reversing. Why doesn’t every wealthy neighborhood have this? Also if you have a big ass house you should have a panic room.

Panic rooms are kind of pointless. They won't keep you from getting robbed and they're not much safer than being in any other room if you have a firearm. A good panic room could cost you like $50k+ to convert an existing room or $120k+ to add a room when you could just buy a few old AKs for $800/piece and set up a slaughter chute in any room in your house. Which is better, in my opinion, since the panic room is useless if things go down when you're far away from it or the intruders happen to be in between you and its location. Unless the attackers know your house in detail, know where you are in the house at the time, AND know team room-clearing tactics, the chance that they come out on top if you're just waiting for them to make entry is about as low as your chance of winning the lottery.
