Damn this reminds me of trying to talk to a group of people on coke. Just constant interruptions and speaking over each other. AK handled this well.. Andrew was driving me crazy.
This podcast, for me, has gone from me not being able to miss an episode to not being able to watch one for more than 10 minutes. Their egos have got completely out of control and its basically turned them in to 4 douche bags who just love to sit there smelling each other farts and act completely fake. They really don't seem interested in the guests anymore and seem more interested in what each other thinks instead.
Genuine question how do you guys still watch this show? Andrew is so obnoxious full of himself and disingenuous. Every comedy reaction show I watch is flooded with people that all think he’s a hack, I’m surprised his views are so high. What keeps you guys around?
This is just short of unwatchable! It’s absurd to see difference in the crews attitude and demeanor over the years! I think they have officially lost the plot… no need for guests anymore, let’s just circle jerk each-other and watch Schultz pontificate about his career.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Y’all are good people. Love Andrew but there’s no denying this was not great with the disrespect and interruptions
Damn what AK do to you? He is literally like every other African American blog site that focuses on the culture of hip hop and he gives his commentary….literally like EVERYONE else. I don’t see ppl going at Adam 22 or Vlad for being insufferable, I think it’s because AK has no industry ties so he is free to talk about your favorite rapper/entertainer with free will and that rubs people the wrong way because they’re used to people having a filter..
@@SharkSharksharkyyyybro shut up with that pan African shit AK is terrible Vlad is awful and Adam 22 is a soulless sycophant Art of Dialogue kinda cool tho.
I love how Andrew is doing exactly what Steiny did on and Shultz snapped and walked off like a child. But now he expects his fans to enjoy a two hour podcast of pure interruptions. This show has fallen off so hard. But remember “ Adam 22 is a marketing genius “😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
AK is 100% right about Wendy being bigger than Charlemagne because she moved the needle from radio to daytime tv. Charlemagne has yet to move the audience from The Breakfast Club to network tv. Plus, Flagrant is arguing who was number one between Charle and Wendy but they're forgetting that Charle is a byproduct of Wendy's radio show. And that's another way that the student doesn't outshine the master.
They were all cucking for Charlemagne like clowns. So extremely biased that they would never change their viewpoint no matter the arguement they were presented
The level of ADHD on flagrant these days is insane. Been rocking with y’all since day one, but this shit is getting off the rails now. Stop yelling over each other all the time, and let your guests answer/ complete a thought
I’m only 8 minutes in, Dj Akademiks has barley got one thought across because Andrew loves the sound of his own voice. I don’t know how y’all even watch this channel anymore😂
Ak needs his credit for being able to handle convos in every room. Barely loses composure and if he does it’s entertaining. He lets a lot of jokes fly to keep it natural although we all know he can roast. Most ppl comment on how they feel about his content and not his skill but he thinks on the fly well.
AK was 1000% right on the argument of Charlamagne and the Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club did not move an audience from radio, they simultaneously built an audience on both mediums. Their show was created in 2010 and they were uploading clips from their show not long after, that is not moving an audience. Charlamagne did not "move" from radio to the internet, only a new TBC fan would think that, I've been watching them since 2011. The Breakfast Club had múltiple fan pages on RU-vid posting their content since 2010, way before they started taking their main channel serious. Those fan pages were garnering millions of views and building their online presence when their show was still in it's infancy. They built an online audience at the same time they were building a radio audience, so Schulz giving Charlamagne credit for moving an audience from radio just isn't true, there's a massive difference between that and what Howard Stern did.
I totally get their point, hence Andrew said would AK move from the internet to radio with his audience and he said that will be difficult, so why are saying it was easy for charlamagne to move from radio to the internet?
Very true, I’ve been a long time listener of tbc and I used to wait for this guy that was a rapper upload tbc episodes, when tbc was only power 105.1 they wouldn’t copyright the vids. This guy got tons of views, even ctg shouted him out. That’s when they realized they were missing out of putting out content on RU-vid, they would only put out the interviews but slowly they started putting out more clips like the rumor report and donkey of the day. Then I heart came along and it just amplified everything. They used to be so real in the beginning
🇯🇲 Big ups to Ak for trying to talk about something that was serious to him & brushing the jokes off after he realized they weren’t going to let him be semi-serious. He was clearly upset & they didn’t pick up on that, so he transitioned into joke mode
They do this with every guest if u notice its very peculiar, they also tend to use their guests as a chance to attack their enemies that just happens to be the guests friends. Its weird seeing how they move now having watched for so many years.
Honestly, I'm gonna be that guy. It was kind of frustrating and Almost playful to the point of disrespectful - Or maybe it was just them being rambunctious and "silly".. but annoying still and he held himself together well. This is how Schultz used to be. Never letting anyone speak, or finish a sentence for that matter. Then he toned it down and started interviewing ppl (and saying "mmmmmm" when he got bored which was almost worse) and having a conversation. This was just a relapse I hope.
@@mattk8810 He can talk more its his show i dont care it's just the constant interruptions. Constant nonstop interruptions. Andrew literally asks a question then starts talking as the guest starts to answer.
@@ANTIStraussianit’s so annoying it’s hilarious lmao but the thing is as a person who has watched Ak for +10 years from highschool. He does the same exact shit so they flow well, debate banter, and it’s only annoying to us.
I hate how they do not let AK tell nor finish his replies or story, also I feel like there is a bit of lack of respect for AK, they are talking over him and treating him like a clown.
I understand if you don’t kno the relationship they have that’s how it might come off but Shultz been sticking up for Ak and giving him his props for a long time now across multiple platforms. They play with him like that cause he’s seen as part of the group.
2:01:10 AK is right when he says the Breakfast Club did not change hip-hop news on the internet. I remember it took the Breakfast Club years to get that show on RU-vid. There was other people who recorded the show from the website and then uploaded it to RU-vid. Then when they found out that those channels were making money, that is when they put up their official youtube channel.
I never liked Wendy Williams but AK is right about her being a bigger radio personality than Charlamagne. I did not follow the Breakfast Club to RU-vid. The Breakfast Club followed me to RU-vid. I like Charlamagne but that man has never had me follow him to any other platform outside of radio.
I think the point might have went a little over your head. Not way over your head, but just slightly. And I say that objectively and with all due respect. The point Andrew is making is not something that is effected by what you just brought up. I don’t think Andrew’s point is dependent on who uploads it, but the fact of Breakfast Club’s content being on RU-vid just in general. The idea that their content has reached many people through this medium. It’s more about the fact that what they created has reached these people than it is about who put it up. Also I don’t want anybody who possibly reads this to take it as me defending Andrew’s argument because my own opinion is more in favor of what Ak was saying (excluding the Wendy Williams parts)
@@PotawatomiThunderNew I see your point. But I think it does matter. Because if it wasn’t for those people who stole their content and uploaded it to RU-vid, then they would still be local DJs. I remember that Charla back then didn’t really care about internet media and honestly I think he is just now warming up to it. I get it the content was great at that the time and it spread. But that was something they fell into. Not something they cultivated.
That's cuz all they have to do is give this guy liquor and let him clown on himself unintentionally the whole podcast. Shits funny tho I'll give credit to Akademiks for that
Flagrant crew seemed afraid to answer questions straight forward. Who they are voting for and the Diddy question. Flagrant crew really went mainstream 🥲
Yo y’all gotta chill tf out talking over the guest when he making a point y’all change the whole topic when they were in the middle of making a point and that shit aggravating as fuck cause y’all just tell a bunch of dumb ass jokes when the topic at hand was actually interesting smfh
The last Ak episode was so fucking hilarious, def one I’d recommend being the first episode for someone to watch Flagrant. NOW WE GET 4 MORE HOURS LETS GO!!!
Yea forreal I fuck with flagrant a lot but this episode they was not letting AK finish anything he started and he’ll keep tryna go back to it and finish it and then they’ll still cut him off or change subjects
Well Rogan has said it multiple times why he likes to wear headphones. With headphones you notice how bad it sounds when you are stepping over someone else all the time.
This is what tribalism looks like. 4 bullies against a guest whose more knowledgeable and funnier than all of them. Why do they get guests to come on if all you do is interrupt and bully them repeatedly
It really is bullshit how they all gang up on people. Have a diversity of opinion my guys. I don’t watch this podcast to see everyone have the same point of view. Especially with guests. It’s straight up rude honestly. And y’all are so condescending. You do nothing but talk over people and then act like they can’t make an argument. It’s bullshit.
Love this show. Would love it even more if any one of them could finish a thought or question or answer. So many unanswered questions and unfinished thoughts. That said, still love it.
What Hollywood career? I don't have one and I think the same, that's just stupid to think that you have to be behind Kanye 100% or you are with the industry or woke or whatever stupid take people take.
@@MikeOx5456 most people like his music not the guy. He is corny as they come I'm not going to be like Alex and fanboy him like crazy and yeah most people don't think that way there are many opinions of him, those that Stan him and get angry and everyone that doesn't do it, those that don't like him and those that only like his old music.
At least ACT like you give a fuck what your guest is saying. Constant interruptions and completely derailing any type of conversation or story Ak had. Have been trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but this show sucks now because of how mainly Schultz conducts himself. Beyond disrespectful.
They cut him off a thousand times just to say something stupid. Like do you actually want answers and stories or do you just wanna talk stupid shit all day. Such a waste
I’m an hour in and I can BARELY keep up with what’s being said, pretty annoying when everyone’s talking over eachother. And someone hand Andrew a some EVIAN.
Let the man talk for fuck sake bro. Simping for Logan Paul, but talking over someone who had a harder path to success and met more interesting people. At this point, I think that you treat your guests based on how attracted to them you are.
Watched the first hour when this episodes came out and couldn't listen any longer. Came back today and cant finish the last hour and fourty five minutes.
Andrew is annoying a lot of the times where the guests is on a story about to say something interesting or funny and he just keeps interrupting over and over again to get a punchline in and it just ruins the flow of the conversation. At least Akademiks is persistent to say what he has to say, but other guest just stop with what they're saying.
No way Schulz said Ye has never been a good rapper. He’s got countless songs with fantastic rapping performances. All falls Down, Jesus Walks, Saint Pablo, NMPILA, Violent Crimes, and so many more
The more I watch Akademiks, the more I find I have in common w/ his view of the world. I love that he dont GAF and stays real even when in front of a huge audience
AK was right charla cant pull his audience to his shows. and breakfast club moving to youtube was the only option. everybody moved to youtube and its the same content.
The major discussion when it comes to music in South Africa to Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya etc is Afrobeats and AmaPiano. Those two genres have taken Africa by storm we relate to the lyrics…what’s being sang is our day to day. There’s less discussion now on HipHop because it’s not the same anymore. Rappers rap about the same thing money, girls, jewellery, shooters etc and just hiphop artist that don’t make sense
Wait wtf why is everyone hating on the episode? I’m about 2 hours 30mins and it’s been a rollercoaster so far, loving the episode! Some interruptions here and there but you can tell Ak and the Flagrant team cool with each other.
1:50:39 Facts.. Howard said he leaving radio and going to Sirius follow him there and they came (and on top of that they PAID to listen to him on satellite when radio was free). He said I got a show on channel 9 and the show was a hit.. his book was a hit.. his movie was a hit.. Charlemagne can't even get a hit show outside of the breakfast club.. every show he creates flops. Can't Compare him to Howard. Plus Charlemagne and Wendy was on air competing with Howard and Star at the same time. They were all on the air in the early 2000s and the only person to beat Howard in the ratings was Star not Charlemagne and Wendy.
Yeah the fact is Charla can't transfer that audience and he's tried with multiple shows at this point. I was too young to care about Howard stern but the case AK presented is sound
Additionally, im Indian, i knew of Howard and Wendy, watched them, because obviously, legend. But i havent seen a single Charlam... whatever his name is ep, nor the breakfast club. The dick riding is crazzy in this one. They arent smart enough to differentiate between audience because of a personality from audience because of a platform. This podcast, if it was a telecast, or paid, i wouldnt watch it, i watch because i want to eat and have nothing to watch and youtube is right there.
First time watching anything for 4 hours and being entertained the hole time😂 especially the last part 🤣🤣🤣 AK understand the gay line! They had me laughing out loud the hole time 😂🤣
Charlamagne didnt build a huge audience on terestrial radio. He built his following on youtube/internet through simultaneously posting terrestrial radio clips. He didnt transfer an audience, He built the same house in 2 different neighborhoods at the same time.
I love Schulz as a comedian and as a person in general, but I actually don't get his hate for Kanye. Like everything he says about Kanye is bad and super unreasonable. Kanye is the greatest artist of our generation and this dude is missing it focusing on the negatives. Free yourself Schulz, your life will be 10x better with Kanye
he said he was never a good rapper which is straight lying, he's clearly biased against him and don't want to make any research so he says whatever. Such a bad quality and uncultured conversation from his part. I bet he's mostly hating because of an imminent Ye comeback, if he was popping and industry accepted it would lean more towards glazzing
😂 @ 57:34 Ak: _are you subscribed to Zeus?_ Andrew: _…Yes_ I don’t know what it is, but the way Andrew delivered that “yes” was so hilarious to me. Especially knowing that he doesn’t but said it just because. 😂
20 % of this podcast is understandable, the rest is them talking over eachother with Andrew acting like he never saw a mic and a camera, bro stop it, let the guest speak
That was my biggest problem with this entire episode. Andrew talks too fuckin much because he wants to say something funny so bad like that shit was so annoying
3:28:44 Holup...mans did not say Ye has always been a horrible rapper, did he? This means Andrew has NO EAR for Emcee'ing. No one who does, could ever say something THAT far off. This is the wildest take I've heard in a good while.
He's not a hater he just has no actual opinion like most rich new york kids. All they wanna talk about is mainstream bs. When Ye was on the radio Drew called him a genius. Pretty sure he even said Donda was a masterpiece. It's funny/insane listening to him pretend we don't have him on video for a decade glazing Kanye. The switch up is insane lmao Akaash too. They NEVER SAID ONCE Ye was a bad rapper til now, it's embarrassing.
