dj FRiTZo depends what you mean by preset mixes...I think he's just sync'ing the tempos, and fading in one track while fading out the other, with little use of traktor effects (I'm assuming since he's using an x1 he's also running traktor). But I don't think it's one long 37 min mix

dj FRiTZo i see what your saying, and I'm with you, for real artists of the craft, you need headphones to know what you're bringing in. But these guys aren't true DJs, they're producers trying to put together a DJ Set...he has all his tracks synced to somewhere around 136 BPM in either traktor/ableton, so as long as he can count and keep the phrasing right, it's as easy as pushing 1 button to start, and 1 to stop (assuming he has all his beatgrids in order). WHICH IS AWFUL. But that's unfortunately the world we live in, producers being forced into imitating DJs to make money

So all the festival 'music players' as you call them from around the world who play mp3s aren't DJs because they don't mix vinyl? That's ignorance from the oldschool DJ. There's nothing wrong with using technology. They're called digital DJs nowadays. Yeah I can’t really find any of his old stuff either. His new stuff is alright it looks like he now is into making house and minimal techno. He has a few releases under toolroom which is great but yeah not my cup of tea. Only project he has that’s still remotely jersey club is the palm reader ep which has a feature track of lido on it! But that’s about it I think :( yeah he moved on to house now smh.

i wouldnt say ahead of his time all of the songs in this mix were being used for jersey club mixes in 2014

Chris Shields Not really, they're two completely separate things and skills. DJ'ing (the true craft) requires great ears, and to be lightning quick/precise with your decisions. If you fuck up, chances are people will notice. Producing can be adjusted and repeated ad nauseum. Both very awesome talents to have, but its not a transitive property.
