A legend whatever that means wouldn't say you don't have to cheat anymore, shouldn't have cheated in the first place. Also it's still cheating / plagiarism. Pharrell Williams tried to lie and say he didn't Marvin Gaye track. If I saw Pharrell as a legend before, after that court case he wasn't a legend to me anymore. . I'm into originality.. And no, the fools that say the remix or rework is better than the original are those that heard the remix first and too many times and for along time before hearing the original it's as simple as that. It's the original that makes the remix sound even good at all. Is he a great dj yes.

Also about 30 years ago as a young teen a friend introduced me to djing (he was a very beginner too) and showed me how he put an acapella over an instrumental using a mixer. At first I thought it would be possible to seperate vocals and instrumental using said mixer as well and I felt very silly when I was explained it did not work this way. Here i am 30 years later feeling kind of less silly knowing there is a tool available for that task.

The Daw used is Serato Studio it also a game changer. But Djay Pro AI includes Neural Mix so can skip this process and mix live but you definitely gotta know your music. But just great to know the process will make your remixes insane. Unlimited potential. Thank you Jeff people will pay attention now. You are the best King.

For the Djs Virtualdj and Mixxx have this incorporated into the software so you can do this on the fly. Mixxx has 3 stems and Virtualdj has 5 stems. In VDJ the drum also separate kick, snare, cymbal. I wonder why Serato hasn't incorporated it yet.

@@biggcebo No, but I've used RX7 which is much more powerful and even that doesn't produce quality stems. The fact is you'll always have artefacts and phasing with the current software available.

Serato is always a lil late in adding new features. Plus the normal program is resource intensive, so adding stems like features to serato would double the ram and/ or processing power that is already being used. Virtual dj was only using 200-400mb ram before their stems feature and now with it, they're using 1.2gb on average

Thank you, Jeff, for demonstrating this. Saw this feature in the "Djay AI" app, but it was monthly subscription feature with no preview or trial. I did hear a brief moment of taking out an instrument, but there was some harsh digital artifacting.

Wow!! I use karaoke backing tracks for a solo gig and make my own medley of songs but I use a fade in to next song, which is noticeable… So could I create a drumbeat or insert a piece of music to cross over into songs?… thanks so much for this video and you explain it so well 🙏❤️ from Ireland 🇮🇪

@@MrRacecourser Serato studio is the shit if you use Serato Dj... You’ll have a fire beat after just playing around w/it the 1st time. Very easy overall, but especially if U use Serato Dj
