That is the one major drawback to being a child prodigy: you usually lose your childhood. Chloe is so sweet and innocent, I hate to see her NOT able to go be with friends and do what they do at that age.
As one of your most ardent American fans, I'm happy to see you doing more media, Chloe! I hope in the near future to see a serious feature on your musical training. We love you Chloe!
It is very interesting, and a delight, to hear Chloe's reminiscences and reflections. I guess the performance in the 2014 Raffles competition she refers to was this one, of Wieniawski's Scherzo ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5zWwTN0sm5k.html It was good enough to win her the silver medal and to blow Brett and Eddy's minds eight years later! It wasn't the first performance she had given at a competition final. Four months earlier, at the Young Talents Project Finals she had given the sweetest and most adorable performance of Paganini's Cantabile you ever saw. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l6T9OMDWA8E.html I had always thought of this performance too as competitive - after it she was announced as a "Young Protege Award Winner" - but in the light of her explanation here I have revisited the video of the whole event and now see that the she and another "Young Protege" had been chosen beforehand. They were performing not in the hope of gaining the award but in celebration of it!
Surprised to know little Chole's fav is Sibelius Violin Concerto which expresses emotion that is too tough! Its also my fav among all violin concertos.
@Entertainment - Mediacorp Hi Mediacorp. Will you be uploading Chloe's video performance of Mozart's Rondo K373 to this channel? I know it's being played on Symphony 924 this week, but will the video be available on this channel?
Bit sad that little Chloe missing holidays and playing with kids. You are sacrificing kid's life and instead entertaining thousands of audience Chloe. 😎🥰
Typical of SG media outlets. Dumb administrator. Or trying to get more views with such an eye catching thumbnail “I made a mistake” by SG violin sensation.
@@wassup139 Come come, it's most likely the default Thumbnail. Based on the other videos on this channel, none of the thumbnails appear to be specifically chosen. They probably have a skeleton media team that handles all video editing and uploading.
Singapore is just simply not ready for a star her level, pains the heart to see her family and everyone else holding her back in Singapore. She should be studying in Europe.
@@obiwan88 I do agree - Chloe will get much more international exposure and recognition from studying in Europe (or maybe America too). As well as learning from the best maestros overseas. An example is pianist Kate Liu. She was a Singaporean before she and her family moved overseas (to America) to further her rigorous training in piano. It paid off for Kate Liu - she participated in the prestigious Chopin Competition 2015 and won 3rd prize and audience favourite award. If Kate continued to stay in Singapore, I doubt her career will flourish to such an international and successful extent. I believe Chloe would one day have to study overseas - to bring her talents up to another level and to get the international exposure she needs for a successful performance career. However, I believe at the moment, there could be other considerations such as costs and readiness. I do hope Chloe will one day get the training she needs overseas and to maximise her potential.
I'm a day older than Chloe lol. I also play violin. I also have a really good teacher. I also have won competitions..... Wait that was only state, and she's winning Menuhin. Nvmd Imma go cry in a corner Edit: Sibelius is also my favorite piece
@@hollyd8930 Asians have better learning abilities, or if I’m being specific about Chloe here, she’s Singaporean. And Singapore is home to the smartest people in the world.
@@hollyd8930 well you’re most likely better than me lol. But yeah, regardless, Chloe is a prodigy. And we’re also going to consider her 8 hours of training everyday since she was like 3 lol
Breaks the heart to see Chloe's RU-vid coverage hardly change since her success from Menuhin competition. So typical Asian parents, being over protective and unable to recognize Chloe belongs to the whole world. She needs to be more independant and thus flourish, like Hilary Hahn. And yes, I have zero respect for Sinky media, especially when handling once in a lifetime child prodigies like Chloe. Sorry it's way way of your league. Look at the ridiculous amount of makeup you put, on a 15-year old!!
