It was a an unbelieveable time period for Hardcore, Breakbeat, Jungle Techno, Jungle& D&B but House, Techno, Breaks, Ambient, TripHop etc was also progressing fast also.
@@timeobjekts9008 Trip Hop never existed. No artist ever referred to their own music as TripHop. Journalists invented the term to put a label on music they couldn't categorise into any other genre.
Anthem Anthem when Ray Keith used to play this for you down in Blackmarket records your head would roll off outside in the street. And hearing this in a rave slightly faster though shack-out time big bassline.
I remember one day gong into blackmarket records in 1993. downstairs Ray Keith was on the decks and a man walks in and hands him a stack of red and yellow Labeled records. he put it on and everyone there put their hand up for a copy...Subnation - Scottie Remix. a porky prime cut.
@Dean Smith Big up mate!! Loved those fellas. Such nice people. They always sorted us out with quality vinyl. So sad that place has gone. Big up Profile and Ash Attack too.
I wouldn’t label this??? As jungle...OR ....hardcore But??? A masterpiece!!! Pure n simple.... Both mixes are equally exceptional But the original??? Lost for words.... At 42?????...... One can relate
World dance was the best.went lydd 7 or 8 times.as well as their events at sanctuary, wembley and docklands.actually purchased a world dance t shirt while back.and it turned out to have the image of the flyer for their sanctuary event.that also happened to be where i celebrated my 18th birthday.but lydd was its home.had great nights there.
Hahahaha! Karl Kani Jeans! Holy hell I haven't heard that for a while! :D I was more from the following few years... Fantazia or Fusion MA1 and Kappa trousers hahahaha! What a sight!
My days you guys taking it back to the old shool! Karl Kani, Eclipse rave wear, Bleu Bolt , Dready, Dosse Posse, Wallabys the MA2s (I had a One Nation one), record bags (I had a roast one....used it 'till it literally fell apart, then a Technics one)....but also Click Suits, Chipie, Chevignon, Avirex, Gravity Jeans, Naf Naf, Kickers, diamond socks and jeans with roll ups, Pepe.....then all the designer garms......Versace / Moschino jeans, straight Levi's, Ralph shirts and Harrington jackets, YSL shirts, those annoying Versace shades with the gold bits at the side (strictly Ray Ban for me back then).......
I spent a weeks wages on a limited edition 2000ad desire jacket that i got from the shortly lived global explosion shop in herne hill, south london.was proud of that.never saw anyone else with it.
Yeah its up there with the best. One of those special tunes for me! I can just run it through the whole way on the deck and never get bored of it. Perfect jungle and not a ragga vocal in sight pure bliss
Laying in bed 2020 come across this. Fucking wow. Goosebumps. I always loved those scary noise crazy tunes back in the days. Eurrrrrr. AV some of that. Roller express. Sweat dripping off the ceiling. Rhubarb n custards. Firm handed.
OMG one night back in the day that’s all I want.....I feel sorry for this generation that will never feel this atmosphere, smell of the rave clubs, the fruity smell of the smoke machines(now days considered bad for health) good lord. The mad Lasers( now days considered bad for your health) just don’t look direct at the lasers that’s 30 foot on the ceiling!!! That helps. Awesome days that was over so quick. Life is shit compared. I fkin always knew it was a legendary era back then. I had many missed days as I was lonely and had no friends or could I drive other wise I would of drove myself to these top rave venues. I missed out on to much. Fuck it.
I hate this fake plastic generation too... Back in they you were cool when you actually were cool. Now you are cool when you are gay and have depressions or something
Bruv, my life is great, but the best *raving* times of my life were the 90's. Me and my pals still go out (I didn't grow out of it, lol), but *always* reminisce about the 90's. You had to be there (as you well know!). And this tune....ripped up bare raves. Personal fave for me! 46 this year. How the fuck did that happen? 😂
Andy Bliss ya I have a few sets of Don. I would listen to Dream as well. I used to Dj after Boots Hi-Fi on ice cold FM. Yeah I know a few people on flex FM now
