I think this is a good tip related to workflow. It's always good to hear fresh perspectives like this on workflow. My favourite emcee on a Primo beat... um... I can't choose one, but it would be between; a) Rakim on "When I Be On the Mic" or "Classic (Better than I've Ever Been)" b) Inspectah Deck on "Above the Clouds" c) Nas on "N.Y. State of Mind"

what kind of samples would be good with this technique i often sample jazz and i feel like my samples are too busy sounding to use a technique like this, also favorite collab is preemo and royce they flow so well together

+Nicholas Lavigne Try fusion jazz, or prog rock. Soul works extremely well too. The bridges often have lots of slow melodic string sections.
