@@swagboy4075 no its not a loop. its a flip. they arent the same thing. the 2 bars is made up of a 1 bar sample, which is pitch shifted to two different pitches. hence "flipping" the sample. the fact that it went untraced for almost 30 years is just crazy. i dont think anyone discovered this sample, i think havoc told someone

Havoc made this beat in his grandma's basement while pounding 40s and smoking endless blunts. To this day, I have NO IDEA how he transformed that sample. Havoc is a monster and criminally underrated. He should be in everyone's top 5 producers EASILY. What's even crazier is that Prodigy taught him how to make beats.
Its cuz he had to find a way to not get sued for sampling copyright music when producing his songs for the group. So he had to filter and pitch tune the shit outta the samples so its damn near unrecognizable to dodge coypyright laws at the time lol So he had not just be creative, but super creative that they can't take him to court for sampling songs. Trying to figure out way to not lose money when making your songs is a double challenge in itself than just making a song lol Havoc is an alchemist for that.

He definately didnt cut this live, it was havoc beat and nobody knew where the sample came from. Dude on youtube found it and premier litterly played that video for this.
The sample is from Jessica by Herbie Hancock. He def cut it live because if you listen to Jessica, he just played the exact song until the sampled part where he cut the beat in

I saw Primo live with Royce back in 2015. He did this in the middle of the show. A section for the audience to guess the sample. The crowd went crazy when he did Ten Crack Commandments last.
