Quik will always be my favorite of all time. If I want a producer. He's in my top 3. If I want lyrics, he's still there. You due for a celebrity theatre visit Quik. You know.
I will always love DJ Quick.. my heart goes out to everyone and my prayers are with the entire family unit..GOD BLESS ALL AND GOD PLEASE PROVIDE IN JESUS NAME AMEN.
In my opinion.... ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to name just 1 album from the 90's. Once I start to even try, I can't stop. I'm a Quick "Stan". West Coast all day, but Illmatic ... And the South had some classic 90's albums as well.
Great interview man. Ive missed hearing from Quik, a real one plus he a musical genius! Safe and Sound and Rhythm-a-lism is my shit. Top 10 emcee! Surprised HI-C is such a big WU fan, that's awesome

My top 3 90's albums are All Eyez on Me, Life after Death, and Illmatic. It's tough so many classics. I listen to the a particular albums on a regular. The Chronics and Doggystyle albums are crazy too.
@Ben its not the same bro lol....as a producer maybe i hear diff but just listen to how they hit the snares with words, theres still a rhythm to it....blueface all the way off
Quik production and ability to create music is whats missing today. Can i get a Quik and Tech N9ne collab tho. Call that ish, pork chops and apple sauce. Lol

Quik been real, I met him with Focus, Marcell, and Shaq back in the days at some studio very down to earth real brother introduced himself and made me feel at home Salute Quik,
Real shit, the whole day that Nipsey got killed just felt out of place. Something felt different in the atmosphere, and then my sister texted me telling me about his death. Tehn I knew something was out of place for sures...
I had this same experience, we all forget that it was the first beautiful day since the rain, clear blue sky and nice weather. Who would be ready to kill on a day like that.
Btw I forgot all about Hi C, I used to have the Sitting in the Park cassette single. I'm glad he appears to be doing well. I love to see old school rappers still out here eating.
Joseph Williams the most adrenaline fueled class*c shit ever.THE DON MAKAVELI.NOBODY CAN MAKE THAT ALBUM EVER.IF I HAD CHOOSE 1 ALBUM TO EVER LISTEN TO IT'S THAT 1.
I'm from Strong Island NY and I grew up on alot of west coast mc s like Quik Compton's Most Wanted NWA, Ice T Snoop Dogg Dogg Pound King Tee Low Profile Digital Underground Cube Xzibit Mack 10 Eastsiders and others. I would like to know if this tour hitting the East Coast and Quik needs to add some Classic East Coast acts like EPMD Poor Righteous Teachers Kid N Play Kool Moe Dee Pete Rock and CL Smooth Capone and More Black Moon Freedie Foxx Biz Markie just to name a few. Because Honestly Krush Groove was a classic movie and East Coast Hip Hop and that's no disrespect to Quit who is a Hip Hop icon when it comes to producing and Mcing.
