So far, on this series, Dj Scram Jones was the best representative of what I truly believe a modern 'HipHop" Dj should sound like, period. For one, the skill set was sharp, and precise, and dare I say 'on beat', (unlike Just Blaze's set I'm afraid) which, it turns out, is critical to how, at least I for one, will receive your performance and/or presentation (offering); I suspect there are others out there not unlike myself. I say this of course without yet, until now, mentioning another aspect of his performance, that made it so enjoyable to me, the creative way he presented his selections (recordings). He played in a historically traditional manner (which I greatly appreciate), while still adding his own personal, inovative nuance to the whole experience. He, imo, geniusly and low-key educationally tied the standard classical 'orthodox' feeling and sound of the genre, with the modern sound seamlessly, and seemingly effortlessly. Bravo Sir. (Good Shit)
Well said. The truly sick DJs are guys like Scram Jones here. He blends (no pun) the skills of utilizing the modern-day technologies with the old school cuttin and scratchin execution on the Tec 12's.
This is the type of djing I like. This guy is doing it all. Blends, scratches and keeping the vibe!!!! Reminds me of the dj mixtapes i used to listen to in the early 90s
A turn table genius who can also spit. He is definitely an amazing dude with unbelievable talent. He should be a judge on one of the america has talent shows because he has so much more than most of the judges.
This DJ just saved my life. His scratching skills and using vocals to rearrange frequencies sounds are out of this world.DMC's DJ competitors worst nightmare on bronx street.
