I personally own both of these records & have tried to match these beat for beat. Say what you want about it but this is an expert execution of the two. The drops in this song don't happen at easily transitioned points to make it as hype as this has turned out. I'm willing to admit I'm wrong but back it up with a link to a better version. I'll be all ears & excited to hear how it turns out. But as it stands, this mix still raises the hair on the back of my neck.
- @CalvinKarass Most who market themselves are kids, which is obviously questionable, So I will agree. Although DJ being the central role in the Dance community is highly arguable. I think a more precise claim would be: If you start out as a DJ, the ultimate goal for you is to be a producer, and if you start out as a producer, your ultimate goal is to be a DJ. Make sense right? - Send me a message, I'm interested in hearing your stuff.
@TranceWoman78 You and about 90% of everyone would say that out of everyone that listens to any electronic music. I am tired of everyone with their pre recorded sets. I am tired of seeing DJ's have their hands up while the song is transitioning to the other. I am tired of people telling me to respect Dj's just because their name. You do what you do, I'll do what I do.
@DJMaddmatt Heya Matt, :) Technically a lot of the guys who market themselves as producers these days are questionable as to the credibility of their claim at best so in truth it's not really about how well you DJ or produce but your marketing power. I don't agree with your statement though, as I would say that the DJ is the central role in the Dance community, producer or not. But yes I do produce and have released records in the past, but I do it for fun these days. : )
@tasostsirios You are a producer, you have one track that goes in the key of Am and one that goes in A#m, you figure it out... Your productions are not bad, I don't get why you would defend something like this, it just genuinely isn't well executed, if I can do better or not is irrelevant.
The beats are poorly matched, the phrasing is all wrong and sounds home made. The idea is good, but the structure is all over the place. Don't get me wrong, I love both Marco V and Tiesto, but this is technically terrible from a DJing perspective.
@DJMaddmatt Agreed, they do tend to come hand in hand these days. I have some stuff on the profile but mostly stuff that is messing around, or personal projects like tracks I wrote with my daughter. Getting late but will send you some info tomorrow. Nite :)
