It's so funny how he says that Intellivision "didn't have to send the founder's consoles by end of year to the people who preordered them". What?!?! Those people paid for their console! Now, it seems, Intellivision delivering the paid consoles is just a favor, instead of an obligation. That guy is just insane.
Where the eff is the creative work Tommy has been doing? Did he design that horrible box from 2 years ago? Was he in charge of making the awful San Valentin merch from 3 days ago?
Are Mullis and DJC the only Amico sucker - er - supporters who haven't abandoned the ship at this point? I know, for example, that RetroBro and Smash JT are all the way out now. Is Saggy still hanging in there? What about the French guy (Francois, I think)?
I think the saddest part of this is that even if the Amico did surface by the end of the year (which it very obviously won't) there's no way it could garner significant sales or publicity and would barely dent the company's absurd debts but this guy would treat it like he'd successfully predicted the second coming. He's the kind of person that, rather than learning and growing as a person instead assumes they're brilliant and just gambles their oversized ego for the petty thrill of being arbitrarily right about things even though he might as well have called the outcome of a dice roll.
He sounds like a Soviet puppet explaining why Stalin's close associates keep disappearing. By the end I felt physically ill for the sake of his sense of integrity.
One way to extend this whole thing would be for INTV corp to send each individual componet of the console to the pre-order people... like one a month. They do that for car models and things... for instance the DeLorean model has 158 pieces... and its like a subscription. We could watch DJC go gaa-gaa every single month for years putting that thing (slowly) together. And then when the last piece comes in, he plugs it into the wall and it doesn't work... lol (Then we'll have 6 months more of contents trying to diagnose it...)
