@glorplaxy I was only talking about natural vs. synthetic regarding djembe's, as that's what I know about. And I'm glad to hear you agree djembe's sound better with natural skins.

Love it, I bought a 12" djembe and trying my best to learn, I have since bought a 8" and a mini one..lol. I love how it flows when playing outside. i have not played for anyone yet, not good enough for that but wishing I can get even half as good as you! Thanks for sharing :)))) Have a great day! Hey man! (Nice drum btw, I have one similar one made by Meinl) Is yours Synthetic or skin? Anyway, I really like how you are just chilling outside. Never listen to people that say you suck (Which you don't, quite frankly), it's all about what you think. I find myself in my room often and I just start to play and get lost in the time, not caring if my siblings find it annoying. It's just great to play and think about nothing important at all.

its not fake skin...just overly processed but i do have the same drum...and its kinda frustrating...its just doesnt sound the same as the unprocessed skin ones

Don't know where you get the idea that synthetic is better for higher tuning. That's not the case. IMHO the only thing synthetic is good for is durability and moisture resistance. As far as sound goes, natural is best low and high.
