Great review ! I’m still struggling with what drone to buy ! As a trained photographer I’m leaning towards the mavic 3 pro ! (Adjustable aperture seems key ) I want to use it for my RU-vid channel and to make beautiful films in the Philippines 🇵🇭! The size and weight I realize can be an issue when hiking into some of the remote areas I’m traveling to ! I’ve also considered the mini 3 pro and now I hear the mini 4 will be released soon ! Lol 😂 Quality content creation is definitely my main objective ! Thx 🙏
Much appreciated. If you wouldn't mind a suggestion, I would definitely look into the original mavic 3 or the Pro like you said. What I've found is that you can find the original mavic 3 at a lower price in refurbished condition if you look hard enough and the fact of the matter is that the mavic 3 pro has slightly less battery life however that can turn into much less battery life depending on conditions due to the weight of that drone in comparison to the mavic 3. The mavic 3 Pro is good having all of those cameras however if you're doing color grading and other things it may not pan out in the best way since the 3x camera on that is the same exact as the one on the air 3. All in all if you're going all of the dynamic range you can get the mavic 3 is definitely the best way to go and the mavic 3 Pro would be a better choice if you're not worried about being able to grade that footage evenly across cameras. Then again, I'm just getting into photography and learning about more about it so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, LOL.

This was a really well though out and paced review on Air 3. I was annoyed at purchase that for the first time in history, DJI pulled the ND Filters out of Fly more to sell them at an additional $99. That and no charging brick. When I spoke with them about it, they claimed it was to "offer customers more choice" and to "save money" which is backward speak for a move that copies phone makers money grabs. With fixed apertures, ND filters are not an option. Further , the DJI set is not split to help manage the wide gap in aperture on these 2 cameras. Freewell released a set of same fir top and bottom cameras, then split it to help. So in the set if the top 3x camera is ND8, the bottom is ND16 - I think 2 additional stops of light reduction.
I appreciate the encouraging words. I've been in my fair share of retail/corporate positions enough to know that their marketing and PR teams can come up with any kind of excuse or saying that will make it seem as if it's in the favor of the customer. The same way Apple and Samsung removed the charging brick from the phones stating that it was for the environment is the same way that when people now have to buy those chargers they make that same environment they are trying to "protect" worse by having to ship an item, pack it in extra cardboard Packaging, and eventually have the same effect. Excuse the long tangent here, but I just get a little pissed off the same way I'm sure you feel when it comes to these corporate companies that can spin anything. Luckily, like you said, Freewell does offer a much better alternative to even what DJI could produce. I also wasn't aware that they never changed the filters to match the f-stop that would be needed by the camera above. I'm really glad you told me that since now I'll never consider buying their filters but will stick with freewell. Thanks for watching, and I appreciate you sharing your opinion.
@@WIHRC - Thanks - I always try to give back a little on videos that have value. For what its worth DJI DID split the Filters for Mavic 3 Pro - for the 7x Camera that has an F3.4 aperture, so I was disappointed to see them miss it here where there's an obvious need. Freewell even does a Long Exposure that's split for that Drone, ND1000 and ND512 across those two cameras. One more fun fact, That rectangular seam on the top of Air 3? Its for a 4G cellular module (China only - and a matching one goes in the RC-2) Its not for internet, Its for a cellular connection to the drone. Allowing solid signal, down at street level as far as you want, solid even in city environments. Can you imagine? That's about all we will get - imagining - FAA probably took one look and said "NO way, just... no." -sigh.
Believe me it goes a long way. So they essentially did what they were supposed to do for their more expensive drone but got lazy on the less expensive one. They cant even come up with a good explanation for this since the 3X camera on the Air 3 is the same as the one on the Mavic 3 PRO. Appreciate you sharing that fact with me. I wasn't aware that the model in China had 4g. That seems like what they wanted to do with the original RC but never did. lol that does sound like the FAA for sure. I think the whole remote ID thing is an interesting topic but that's for another day.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I just felt that the starting price for the mavic three classic and the fly more kit for the air 3 that came with the RC to might have been better. But of course if you got it on sale that's a different story.
Would like to make a comment on an issue nobody has ever talked about. I have a Mavic 2 pro and run it off my mini I pad with no issues. When I purchased the 3 air, I bought it with the RCN 1 and set it up basically the same way, and everything was going great UNTIL I tried to zoom the cameras manually and found there is no toggle wheel on the back right to zoom. I bought it for the cameras and using the zoom but sadly had to return it and reorder it with the RC controller. I liked using my mini pad for the larger screen but will have to settle for a screen not much larger than my phone.
I believe this is due to the limitations of the RC-N1/RC-N2 intended physical layout. In order to zoom without using the RC/RC 2, you would need to use the "pinch to zoom" gesture similar to the way you would on a smartphone.
No I most likely didn't explain it correctly but implied it in the video or at least attempted to. What I mean is that there are people out there who are looking for drones for recreational purposes that tend to enjoy flying them but then end up looking into how they can use their drone for Commercial Services. The air 3, with its Waypoint feature, dual cameras, and excellent battery lifeamong other features, would allow you to scale into Commercial Services but also gives you a lot of value, especially for the price.
Sir i am searching a drone to buy for professional use and i saw the mavic 3 classic with single battery or the air 3 fly more kit are the same price. But the problem is i am too much confused between this two drones.Sir plz help me out. My main require from a drone is high quality vdo shoot also photo for professional type
The mavic 3 classic would give you the most detailed and flexible picture and video to work with in the post, but you only get one camera to do that with. The Air 3 gives you the option of having two cameras but those cameras aren't necessarily the best at capturing all of the information in pictures and video for work in post later. It's going to come down to what you're doing. If you're capturing pictures and video to look the absolute best they can then the Maverick 3 classic would be the better choice. The air 3 is going to give you a great picture still even though it isn't necessarily the best out there. You do get the bonus of having two cameras to play around with, which gives you more choices for the way you film plus the fly more combo would be cheaper like you said. If it were me, I would choose the air 3 just for that reason since I think it's a better idea to have more cameras and better battery life.
I think it all comes down to what you plan to do with the drone in the future. The biggest thing with the Air 3 is its price to value ratio being pretty good, but the Mavic 3 does have a bigger sensor, which would give you more detail in certain situations. What are your plans for the drone you get? If you don't mind telling me, then I can give a more detailed answer from there.
