I’m surprised you gave the Air 3 the win in stills. You did say the M3C might have a slight edge bc of the sensor….but too many RU-vidrs are saying the Air 3 shoots 48mp stills without actually explaining it’s not true 48mp. A lot of folks out there with the Air 2S/Mavic 3 and the Air 3 have said how much better the photos are out of the bigger sensor drones.

I think that the M3C can capture better images and videos due to the larger sensor but it is not a significant improvement. I don’t know if the extra price can justify this upgrade for most people.

You took completely different pictures and videos to compare… Air 3 quality was in beautiful water with whales while Mavic 3 was out during cloudy conditions muddy water. Cmon, man…

I have both Mavic 3 Pro and the Air 3. Both are amazing, but I using the air 3 more, just because it’s more portable. The only thing is that because the air 3 doesn’t have variable aperture. So you really have to really use the filters. Also I have noticed that the battery life is better than my mavic 3.

Sold my mini OG half year ago , the image qualtiy was pretty bad and broke down if you tried to Edit it at all , ordered the air 3 yesterday and cant wait to see how much more workable it Will be. You can take photos in raw right ?

No, the 70mm lens is recording at 3x natively. The perspective looks different and the quality is better than using digital zoom.

I had an air 2 up until the weekend just gone and have now been forced to consider an upgrade. I'm tied between the 2s (i still have 2 of the cross compatible batteries), the air 3, Mavic 3 classic and maybe the Mavic 3. Im a very keen photographer (landscapes, astrophotography, railways and wildfire) and have a picky eye for detail from a high resolution sony mirrorless camera. I was content enough with the air 2 but it did struggle in lower light. The larger sensor of the air2s intrigues as does the hasselblad camera in the classic. The dual cameras also are appealing as I do enjoy wildlife photography. Also conscious of pricing so decisions to be made

It is a hard decision. The adjustable aperture on the Mavic 3 Classic’s larger camera system is a big selling feature as well 👌

But as it is the first drone, I tend to the Air 3 (high range option, much cheaper in a comparable package, dual lens system). Maybe in one or two years - after having enough praxis in flying - the Mavic will have comparable options …?

As a frequent global traveler, I need combination of small form factor drone like the Mini for international, as well as an Air 3 for the more local travel, all at the best possible price. With that, for $2,308 I purchased the DJI Mini 4 Pro with one RC2 controller, and an Air 3 fly more combo with the cheapest controller. The idea is to leverage both drones with the use of one updated RC2 controller. Best bang for the buck for someone who travels a lot.

I don't know which to buy Mavic 3 or the Air 3 , I'm leaning towards the Air 3 , because of the price but I feel like I'll be losing so much with the bigger sensor of the Mavic 3. Help me lol

I honestly think that the extra focal length on the Air 3 is worth the trade off when comparing it to the Mavic 3 Classic. If you’re looking to get the Mavic 3 or Mavic 3 Pro then I would recommend the Mavic 3 Series. I’ve got some awesome drone deals and combos here: linktr.ee/danstubetv

I went with the fly more Air 3 combo. And included the Freewell split ND filter set. Got very close to going with the Mavic classic but the new Occusync 4 and the telephoto lens steered me toward the air. Owned quite a few starting with the Phantom 3 advanced when they were new. Then the original Mavic Pro (off brands in between) So this will be newer technology either way. Thank you.

I enjoy the Classic for the simple one camera operation......no switching back and forth to a second camera. I do find the 3X zoom very good on the Classic.

I think that the Air 3 is the better drone for most people. The Mavic 3 Classic has the better camera but having 2 cameras with different focal lengths is a major advantage in my opinion.

I meant the bias was apparent throughout, not just about the cameras. For example, at around 8:50 you say the “while the Air 3 is still a respectable…” implying the opposite for the Classic (which is really an insignificant 175g) this type of negative connotation goes on subtly from start to finish in favour of the Air 3. Fair enough, you’re here to make money - but without the bias would still be informative and less manipulative.

The 70mm is better in my opinion. The lens gives a different perspective and due to the focal length being native to the lens instead of cropped and zoomed, the quality is nicer.

😮I own the Mavic Air 2S (pro work) and the Mavic Mini 3 Pro (IG/RU-vid). And I fly recklessly on an Air 2(for fun/photography). Im trying to decide between the Air 3 or the Mavic 3 Classic. I enjoy the characteristics of the Air 2S with its better video image quality, control, and speed. Its just an all around great drone. And I love it. I also enjoy the portability of the Mini 3 pro and the vertical filmming. So I carry that one around mostly and use indoors, plus vertical. Only one battery too. Forces me to practice withthe other two. I'm particular to better image quality but I also like the 2nd camera on the new air 3. Gives more versatility in creativity. I guess the question is... the jump in image quality good enough on the Air 3 from the Air 2S (including on the 2nd camera). *The vertical is cool too! OR is the Classic undeniably better looking and the controlable aperture more pro. I feel like unless I'm shooting a funded film, I can get away with the Air 3 footage for anything, including professional work (real estate, short films, etc). Any insights anyone? Feel free to jump in if you own the Classic or Air 3. I love the Mini size, I love the Air size, but realistically the Mavic 3 isn't really that big either. Please help. I'm most likely gonna sell the Air 2. Use the Air 3/Classic for pro work, the mini for IG/RU-vid, and fly the Air 2S reckless and for photography. Hit me.

I have the Mavic Air 2S, + the 2 Pro and they are good and reliable. Both have 1" sensor and I thought both the quality of the photos and videos is great enough. I thought I did not need the Mavic 3 Classic. Nevertheless I bought it and I'm blown away by the quality of photos and video! It is so much better. However I don't like the controller of the classic and air 2s. It does not have the extra antennas like the mavic2 pro that gives me better range in my forested area. So I'm more interested in the new controller with antennas, but probably have to wait until it is compatible with the 3 Classic. Also the waypoint on the 2Pro I found it much better and easier to handle. Actually I never really liked the DJI Fly app even though it has improved quite a bit. The Go4 app has a clearer layout, much better so see what is going on. The Icons on the fly app are so tiny I need a magnifying lens to see them

Mavic 3 classic vs Air 3..get the Air 3 specially if your just posting on instagram and other social media, but if the choice is between the Mavic 3 Pro vs Mavic 3 Classic get the Mavic 3 Pro.

If theymake the AIR 3 compatible with my RC-PRO I will buy it. And I do not need OCS 4 range OCS 3 would be OK just cut out the 5.1gHz and it should be good to go.

Not looking for an argument but some paper facts need to be aired(excuse the pun) 100% omnidirectional avoidence, judging from the A3 manual is tenuous, given the 6 sensors and their angles of coverage. Your previous review of the A3 is evidence of the A3 inability to avoid some fine and heavy obstacles. Overseas, in many cases, suggests the same issues with avoidance. In comparison the M3, you and other reported a much better result. Perhaps due to it having 8 sensors and a much wider field of view than the A3. C'mon Dan some better research please.

@@ronarmour8909 I too have watched as users in the US and the EU struggle with the A3. The common denominator seems to be that they are all flying in wooded areas, from heavy scrub to tree lined roads and paths. How can a drone carrying such sophisticated flying technology loose the tracking target so easily. What exactly does "Occusync, APAS, and the like actually achieve with the A3. As I understand it the drone does not fly using Virtual Sticks.Which makes flying using waypoints more reliable. It uses a combination of visual and IR sensors coupled with the GNSS system to maintain its location and the targets. Yet, target loss is all too common. One can only hope future upgrades will fix this. I'm staying with my A2S till DJI fix this. OTOH those who only fly in open spaces will be entirely satisfied. As I am banging on so much about this drones shortcomings, I should make it very clear that I am trying desperately to like the A3. It ticks all the boxes, except for the stuff I'm on about.

Absolutely dump is a bit of a stretch. The M3C has the better camera but I would recommend the dual-camera system on the Air 3 to most people.

If you do inspections with drone you don't use a mavic 3 classic. Dont be Silly. You have specific drones for that. 🤷🏿‍♀️

Not always, it depends on the company and if they are doing inspections internally or outsourcing to an external company. I know a few people using the Mavic 3 Classic for inspections within their company.

The bigger sensor is the winner here. Nothing more to say. All the talk from other so called drone experperts and reviewers on youtube about 2 sensors and updated technology on the Air 3 is crap, maybe for people that do not grade and only share on tiktok and youtube shorts it would be the better option but nothing more on the professional side.

Yes, it does look like the Air 2S has the edge with the 5.4K. Most people don’t need 5.4K though, and most people’s system can’t play it back.
