DJI Avata 2 Follow-up: Care Refresh, Easy Acro, Head Tracking, Emergency Stop, Manual Mode RC3 

I have a video *almost* done (I just have to fix the voice over sections, bad audio) and it REALLY shows exactly that: lens and dynamic range, and we can use 4k 4:3 now instead of 2.7k. It feels like they could have accomplished most of this with a new camera instead of whole new airunit, but thats DJI for you! 😁

@@BrandonBeans I wanted to mention it because I think near the start of the video I heard you say that perhaps the difference between this and O3 AU isn't as large as you once thought, whereas I find Action 4 / Avata 2 very recognisable because due to the contrast and exposure in blue skies.

you don't need a cell phone to fly it UNLESS you are in a *blue* zone on the map... For those you need to use AirControl app to get a LAANC authorization and then plug in your phone and DJI Fly app to the goggles 3, then just fly within your authorization zone. I'll have to show you how I do this soon.

I think its 80 degrees down and 85 degrees up. So yeah basically you can look all the way down when choosing a landing site.

@@hi_desert_rat I don't like motion tracking if that's what you mean. I can see some people getting the hang of it just starting out, but I'm too stuck in my ways. I really just wanna fly with the twin sticks

@@BrandonBeans Yeah, that's what I was talkin' bout. Guess I'd have to try it to know if I liked it or not but I think I'd probably agree with your conclusion.

@@hi_desert_rat DJI worked really hard to come up with a solution to the incredibly steep learning curve that us fpv pilots have had to go through in order to learn how to fly. I think this might actually be the best way to accomplish this, but it's not a perfect replacement (yet).
