I have three power stations with DJI 1000 in the arsenal. It is a bit heavy, but I purchased the bag and it makes it more manageable. I try and take it everywhere that I go. I use it to power all of my devices. I love the fast charging and the that it can handle a load.
Can the Power 500 be taken on an aircraft? I want to use it in the field to charge drone batteries on inspections but will need to fly to the location.
A DJI battery with a charging station is $463. Two Mavic 3 batts are $384. The 500 power station is $380 with a discount. I have two batts but no charging station, so I would have to charge through the drone. With the fast charging capabilities, I think the 500 is the better deal and the most versatile. I already have a big Anker batt for blackouts and running lights in the field.
I already got me the Grecell T-1000 incl. a 100W Solarpanel for only 300 bucks and that's basically all I need. I avoid fast charging whereever I can cuz it reduces the lifecycle. Best way for recharging the power station (generator) is of course sunlight (up to 85%) and I do not suck out all energy from it (lowest level is 20%).
The problem is that, even though just released, I can't find *any* of the accessories. All are out of stock. It's as if they launched without the inventory. I bought the Power 1000 but it's only good for AC and USB C power since I can't get the special cables. Do anyone have any insight as to when this lack of accessories will be fixed?
Hmmm…I wonder how reliable they are. I owned another huge brand power station and always stored it at 60%, which was recommended by the manufacture. My power station took a 💩 & now it’s an expensive brick. I’m not sure if this influencer actually has our best interests or is he saying all that for compensation from DJI. Hope I am wrong and it’s the best power station ever.
The accessories take about a month to arrive from DJI. Amazon doesn't carry any of the corded accessories at the time of this comment. The Power 1000 took about 2 weeks to arrive from Amazon. For the lolz I tested charging my Tesla Model Y and nope, doesn't work.
"Portable". I mean i get it. If they were any smaller they wouldnt hold much juice. But yeah. Car-table not really portable. Carrying even the smallest of the two in your backpack, hiking up a mountain, yikes. It's obviously brilliant for more larger scale projects or enterprise applications. But as a single user, i'd rather bring triple the batteries instead, for a fraction of the weight. Now, one of these with an integrated unfoldable solar panel on the top? Now were talkin.. The problem with that of course being that EU / USA loves banning Chinese-produced solar panels because they're "too cheap". (We only want to save the planet, if it's still profitable for our companies to do so, food for thought) I suspect that may be a reason why we might not see an integrated solution, for a reasonable price.
Don’t mean to be negative but the recency bias is strong on this one, it’s not the best imo, considering that there is a $300 coupon for this thing off rip at launch I wouldn’t be so quick to call this the best of the best, and also, it’s only 1000WH which can’t do anything really. If something goes on sale day 1, you not it’s not good.
No mention i've seen ,as to whether these units are PURE SINEWAVE or not. One test i've seen indicates a dirty RF signal emiting from the 1000 unit.. would love clarity on this issue.
