You can laugh all you want and have the view that Cook SP.3 and Arri master primes are superior but what you don’t understand is that the next wave of cinematographer are not necessarily going to always choose what you think is the best lens. The next generation of cinematographer is growing up watching guys like Greig Fraser who has in fact used vintage glass on modern AAA films such as Dune and the Batman. As history will repeat itself that the next generation will be inspired and loosely copy their idols, there may come a time where Arri master primes and Cooke lenses are no longer en vogue for AAA or even artistic filming. Things change so don’t be a gatekeeper because time will make you look like a clown in the end 😂
@@businesstheotakuskitchen9000 ??? not sure if you replied to the right person but it just looks like OP was saying that arri lenses and Cookes aren't cheap glass lol
Well, currently, you can’t buy the DGI focus pro creator combo anywhere not even from DGI so obviously nobody’s gonna be looking into that with any serious intention until DJI gets their act together
I ordered mine within 1 day of announcement back in April 2024. Got mine in late July 2024. It's good but not as good as the latest Sony AF-C in the Sony A1: more like the AF-C from a 2018 Sony Alpha 7III. The focus is too abrupt when it changes focus whereas the Sony moves really fast but just before the final focus, it slows down very smoothly. The focus is not smooth when the subject is coming at you when compared to the Sony AF-C in the Alpha 1.
Theoretically the DJI is a great system. Practically though, not yet. I have one and it's buggy. Also, it won't take lenses over 100mm or that close focus under 1.5 meters. Also, in body AF just can't be beat: you don't have 2 monitors to look at. I have a video on setting it up if anyone's curious.
