This flight was performed with a visual observer by the name of Nan McClain, whom I should have included in the video footage. If you post First Person View (FPV) videos on the internet, I encourage you to include your visual observer in the some the footage as proof of sufficient Visual Line of Sight (VLOS).
After spending 1.5 years in the Liftoff simulator, there was no reason not to take the leap of faith and try REAL FPV in acro/manual mode for the first time. My good friend Mike was so generous to lend me his DJI FPV to put to the test. After getting past the initial anxious nerves, I quickly understood how important my time in the simulator payed off because the drone flew like a champ, and no crashes on the first flight!
