I paused a moment when you wired the air unit's power to vbat before realizing that this is a 4s build. We have to keep in mind that the air unit can't take 6s voltage in. If anyone intends on running any more than 17 volts, you will need to run a regulator to power the air unit. Great build Mike, as always!
@@magnusfpv7765 You need a step down DC Regulator or BEC. Search for Matek 2-8s Micro BEC with a 12V output. Racedayquads has one for $5 that would work perfectly.
@@chaserporter and what if i use T-motor F4 OSD Flight Controller & F55A PRO II BL_32 DShot1200 4in1 ESC Stack for RC Drone FPV Racing it have 5v/2a bec power for camera receiver and other equipment?
this is one of the best build video's i've find to build DJI FVP and u show a battery to keep up the good work and when i get my kit i will be watching your video a few times to build me too
omg this is the video that look for, thank you so much for uploading dude. finally i can build on my own. because many channel too many talking shit. and you doing great job straight to the point. and thank you so much for great explanation 👍🏻
Having flown a quad with the dji unit in it......all I can say is I want one! The video is insanely clear, and awesome to see. Just need price to come down a bit more. One thing to note though....a set of patch antennas seen to work so much better than the stock antennas, or axii antennas
Love that track in the drl sim. Great build vid. I got to try one of these out at our race Sunday. Awesome video in the goggles for sure. Game changer.
FlightClub yes it is. The image is soooo clear compared to analog. See so much more of the track compared to my normal ccd cams. But there are some nice cmos cams that look better than the ccd I just need to find a good one that isn’t $45 lol. I’m liking the runcam nano cam and If I could find a micro cam that’s similar to the nano or better than the nano id grab a few. I’ve got a Predator v2 in my hawk 5 I love the image but it’s a little on the blue side even after adjustments. But gates just pop in the screen with that cam the white mgp gates and yellow quaddiction gates are so easy to see. Any suggestions on some good cmos micro cams?
hey Chris, i bought this system from you a while ago...great video btw. I would like to point out one thing though: IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT TO SET THE DEVICE PROTOCOLL IN THE DJI GOGGLES TO NORMAL..otherweise betaflight will not recognize the DJI remote. just thought i could save some people some time :-)
Hey there. I am just starting to build my first drone and was thinking of using your video to do it. However, I was wondering, what batterie are you using for the kit itself. If you could give me that info I would be grateful. thank you so much for your time.
@flightclub newbie here can you please do a follow-up video for this build that talks about the best battery to buy and where/how to mount? I want to buy it all from your store and this is the only part I'm unsure about.
Fantastic video and very clean welding... btw, I've seen that most of the people also use a capacitor to reduce electronic spikes together with the battery, but in your video you don't.. Did you find any problem while flying?
I am trying to build my first FPV drone ever, i would like to go with DJI FPV System but I want to build a 6s, with astrox x5 body, lumenier 2207-11 1750KV My question is can I use XILO Stax Combo 45A BLHeli_32 6s 4-in-1 ESC and F4 flight controller with DJI FPV System? If so does it support play and plug or do i have to solder the dji to XILO flight controller? Thanks in Advance.
Hey buddy, at first a nice Vid. I have a Question: is that quad for 6s or 4s ?. Cause i know the DJI AirUnit need max. 17,6V . And a normal 6s LiPo gives over 20V...it looks like the 6S LiPo in your Vid. Greetings
10/10. Ive been binge watching FPV drone videos all day and this has been the best/straightforward how to build. Just curious, how much would the total for this exact build cost?
FINALLY, a nice installation like always. What about to use 6s? with a Bec? And I hace seen RSSI and GPS in a video, How will it posiible? THX in advance.
You basically answered my question I had about this drone lol!! thanks for the video!! I just want to use it to attach a go pro so I think this one is good
Good Day great video I have a question the Fly controller its possible use F7 I see in the recommendation of DJI say F4 HD F55A PRO II but a F7 what do you now about this
with your set up, are you still able to use the OSD? In your video, I saw that you turned it off and im wondering if you did that because you didn't want to use it?
I have a question, and I think I might have waste a bunch of money on this, my elevator is inverted, so when my right hand push up, my quad tilts back, and push down on my radio, my quad goes forward, how can I change that, I can just change the weight on my Taranis in the mixer page, how do I do it for this?????
So, this makes me ask - is there a chance of a Proton-7 frame, or similar 7" frame with extended nucleus plate set up specifically for this a possibility? I think the possibilities of long range and endurance flying using the air unit 4:3 recording and some post-processing to make some ridiculously cool videos
I also had the question I read others have posted in the comments. Must be a 4S build. But with all these videos and tutorials on running 6S on a 4S quad, You had better contact your customer and advise them that they cannot do so unless modified. I have almost the Same Stack that I am building out at the moment. I was in a bit of a quandry, because the FC does not have a 12v pad for the Air unit. However there is an unused pin coming out of the ESC however I see very small on the ESC it says 10v however there is no wire in that hole on the plug, a bit strange... but instead of running a 12v Bec off Vbat, I put a wire into that plug and plugged in a 6s battery and tested it with the multimeter and sure enough 10V. So I am hoping this works out. Probably not the best place to post the info but if anyone else is here and wondering what to do on a 6S build I thought maybe it would help. However let me advise I am just building it out, so real world I don't know if its going to work. Actually going to plug in the Air unit and 6S battery right now with USB C connected and Register with the DJI tool (DJI assistant)
thxs for the video! i made also one but i used the tmotors f4 fc with the connectors so i dont had to solder between the air unit and the fc. but now i dont see the power indication of the aircraft in the goggles. instead is marked n/a. can you help me?
What i really reaaally want to know , and Fyi i searched everywhere but couldnt find na answer , is if you can change the sticks of the remote DJI controller ?? I am left handed and ITs better for me to fly like this . Thanks
i just got the setup and connected it to my quad. everything works but it only shows 1 bar of signal when the quad is right beside me. when i walk like 5 meters away, the connection totally breaks off. does anybody know what's wrong? The antennas are plugged in..
I bought the DJI FPV System one set including remote. I activated the goggle and remote with no problem. I soldered the Air Unit to my iFlight SucceX Micro F4. then i set it up in the betaflight. I followed your instruction. I opened the port Serial RX for the SBUS and enabled the SBUS in reciever tap, but somehow i can only receive Video but no signal from remote. In the receiver tab in betaflight show now (no signal received). One thing i did differently is that i power the air unit up by using the power from battery pad directly because there is no 9V output pad on my flight controller. Is it the issue? if it is i think the air unit would have already burn, but it is not. i still can see the video on the goggle. Please help!
Travis Stratton apart from the £900 rrp of the dji FPV goggles and camera alone, biggest rip off ever, give it 3 years and everyone will be doing digital at sub £300
I think the digital System is mutch better fr Freestyle, we have wait fr this! But we should wait what s comming up in the Future, DJI is the first Company there come whith it nd DJI can not be the Aple fr FPV, hopefuely. (:
You don't have to be rich to fly the best gear in FPV. Speaking from experience you're better off starting with the best equipment available. Most of it is a one-time purchase..... $2500 will set you up FAT with the DJI system, a couple of quads, simulators, tool's, batteries, etc. The last set of golf clubs I bought we're $2000 plus $50 every time I play. We lose 2-4 thousand dollars in depreciation on a snow mobile every year. Buy the good shit!!!
Hi bro where did the seller buy the drone you assemble could you tell him/her plz bro pm me on Facebook Chris Hayden otis If i buy one of these im going to copy your assembling thanks it helps alot
