Thank you very much, between you and Aussie RC I've accomplished a couple things that had small details holding me back. Your description of how to form the text file for the 1000mw/1200mw hack was spot on. With you and Joshua Bardwell posting these informative videos, I'll be actually enjoying my hobbie(s). Rock on!
Dont forget your antennas like the True RC singularity stubbies. The gain you get is really fantastic. This even applies to audience mode, night and day difference.
Always enjoying your videos very much. Just one note: The heat of the unit is mainly coming from the image processing chip. The mW-value doesn't really affect it much.
Thanks for the link for the google drive , I've juste made it on my DJI GOOGLES V2 with the latest firmware ! And it's work well for the hacking in 700 mW
i knew about the fcc hack, since i am from germany an 25mw isn´t enough output for my use. 700mw works fine for me, but now i´m interested in trying out the power hack and see how far the range is on 1200mw :) Good quality content als usual!

I added a heat sink from an old video card to the top of the air unit. Overheating not a problem anymore. Also important to say if the air unit overheats it continues to transmit a video feed to the goggles. Overheating causes on board video to stop recording.
Nice tips Witherspoon due care about its side effects. I believe that the battery consumption of both goggles and air unit should be higher resulting in a shorter flight time. 🤔
Temp control off helps if the “low power mode” in bottom right corner does not change to “unlocked”, this will gorce it to constantly be in full power mode
Hi, great video.....is it possible to revert back to the just 25 milliwatt setting at anytime....and if you do this hack ...do you just get 700 milliwatt or a range of powers up to 700. Thank you.
Hi, Just saw your video - very nice job with really good instruction. Is there a hack now, a year later for the DJI FPV goggles? It appears that the menu has changed. There isn't a DEVICE access tab in this one. Thanks, and keep up the great job.
Hey Matt - What is the function of enabling auto temp control? Is there a risk that it could reduce the power output when I am miles away? I noticed you set it on, is it used to protect the air unit for over heating? Thanks for the great videos!

@Matt Pochwatt, did you get you quad with a receiver built in for your controller or did you do it youself and if its the second, can you please put a short tutorial or something in your video of how to do that?
Thank you very much. I almost returned them because of the limits. Its like buying a Lamborghini and able to only go 80mph. Bullshit @ DJI, I spent a lot of money and it's mine. I should have the option to do what I want; breaking the law or not!
I love your videos, they are very high quality videography, audio, clear and to the point, They helped me a lot starting into FPV, and for that I thank you a lot. Only problem is that I need to playback your videos x2 because you don't speak fast enough :(
Thanks for another awesome video. Both myself and a friend have done the FCC hack, both get the unlocked message on the corner. But even at 1200mw we struggle to go past 150-200m. Any help or advice you can offer ?

Hey! I know it’s been a while since you published the video, but still a question Does this also work on the dji fpv drone? Should I then do the text file on the goggles sd card?
The dji drone has different hardware, the goggles also use a different 'os' when flying the DJI drone. You probably already figured it out, but there are other hacks for the DJI drone itself, one of them is b3yond.
So awesome. So easy I hope this still works. Just got mine. I've powered them on and messed around in menus but never connected to a drone yet so I think I'm safe from that latest lock out update
What r y'all talkn about? I just got both headsets last night the new ones that come with the Avata and the goggles v2 for the FPV but I haven't turned them on yet. Can I lock myself out with an update?
@@WarriorLife_fpv not sure, never had any problems. I'm at the latest version before the avata update. I've also just rooted my goggles with the fpv-wtf firmware so betaflight OSD works.
@@TRICKYBYRD I had the latest version on the v2s .06 or something. I just never connected to a dji fpv drone with them. Also not updating them because the last update is just for avata which I don't intend to own. I've rooted my goggles with Fpv-wtf firmware so I can use full HD betaflight OSD
@Matt Pochwatt, you can just put the files on the goggle's micro sd card so that you only have to do it once. So that it is automatically applied to all air units/vistas you pair to. EDIT: If you put it on the goggles it also never deactivates the "hack" whenever you update.
Do the files have to stay on the SD card every time you fly or will it save in the Goggles? If I remove the SD Card, will the power output change back to default?
@@acestriker Can you please answer the last question, i just bought them and I would like to know too. Also Idk what difference makes having the SD card on the googles vs the Drone in terms of everything else not related to the hack :/
@@robertbettis8553 From my experience, yes; you can go a few flights without the hack installed but it will eventually revert back to non-hack settings.
