Thank you.. I got a Spark few months back but it was badly damaged after a crash:( I’m similarly in love with DJI products and got the Mavic Air! What’s the key difference between the inspire and MP and how do u utilize them for different usage?

Hei my friend. I also had Dji Spark but sold It agein after 2 month because of range was bad. Spark film good but range was ONLY 300-400 meter. Dji Inspire 1 V2.0. is big. And therfore I have Mavic Pro fore travel. But I love my Inspire. I want It since It come on marked but I bouth It fore 7-8 months ago. 23 Volt In 6 cell. Its mutch Power. It fly exstreamly nice In the air. When It comes to quality In film Mavic Pro and Air film same quality like Inspire 1. Somtimes Im In shock when I se what a smal Camera on Mavic can do. Its Perfect. I like this smal drone because Its easy to take it on tour. Easy to get In the air. Perfect tool. Your drone Mavic Air looks Awsome)). You ask me about diffrence between MP and Inspire?. Everything is littel better on Inspire. I think that is corect is fore proffesional. Tv People and proff use that. But now we have exstreamly good drone With small Camera like Mavic Pro and Air. You are Lucky whoo have this New Mavic Air. I se Direct video the day DJI come With Mavic Air. Exstreamly nice tecnology from DJI. Happy flying and Good Luck!

Thank you! Seems like anything more than MP would be an overkill for me.. don’t really need such an expensive drone. Extreme heartache if it crashes! I’ve seen Inspire footage and I tot it was superb.. but for now Mavic Air is good enough for me! Rumors that Mavic Pro 2 is coming out though

I didn't get a combo cause I didn't have enough money to buy a combo pack it's expensive I decided not to use credit card I saved up money for over three years to get a better drone then last two weeks I ordered new extra three batteries. But a problem here in Vancouver Canada drones aren't permitted to fly close the city or airport, I have need to get away in the remote area so regarding to Canada transport ,most smaller drone could be not need a permission to fly as long not tempted to use invading people privacy or spying the estate property. Strongly stricted not fly near by the airport and military airbase or not follow the vessels across the ocean. Lol I'm so excited to fly my drone 😁😎😎

But it’s so much more fun flying with the remote and extra batteries

Yea liking it so far! Smooth flight but like the spark, it doesn’t work well in areas congested with signal interference.. but video is good!

Ahh it turned slightly warmer that day - about 12 degrees celcius - just ideal for flying. Didn't have issues with the cold affecting the MA or phone batteries. The river was covered with snow just few days before but the MA haven't been delivered yet.

Hi! I think the actual flight time was about 17-18 minutes. Didn’t fly very far just stayed low and let it hover for the final part of the flight.

Hi, thanks for watching. When I export the video in Adobe Pro, I'd choose the following settings: Format: H.264 Preset: RU-vid 2160p 4k I do not change the other settings. Not sure if you've tried editing 4k videos in Adobe Pro before? The previews are quite laggy and I can only see the true quality when I've exported the media..

Thank you for the info. Yes, I would recommend you use proxies for your 4k workflow. Right click on the clips, proxy, create proxies. This will help a lot with your playback while editing.

Ahh I actually forgot I had the gimbal cover on until after I powered up the battery.. thanks for letting me know will note the sequence.

Speaking of the gimbal cover, I actually left t at the platform and forgot to bring back after the flight! In CA now and the DJI retail stores have not started selling the MA accessories

Haha probably so.. does Mavic Pro have less interference between the rc and drone since it’s not using WiFi frequency range? Hope you get your MA soon!

Hi! Take off and landing was quite smooth for me.. I think I experience that on my Spark previously but it worked fine after doing some calibration on IMU and compass.. Temp was around 12 degree celcius on that occasion. Not too cold that day. However on my spark I've tried flying a 0 degree celcius and it was alright. Just had to keep the batteries warm in the jacket before power on.

Travel Adventure it seems to only shake on takeoff when it's colder warmer weather no shaking

Thanks for watching, buddy! With the air newly released at a lower price than the pro, I would get the air (fly more combo). The only significant advantage is that the pro used dedicated RF frequency between the drone and the remote controller, so you get less interference and possibly more range. The differences may be more significant in urban areas with multiple wifi/ Bluetooth signals. Both have 3-axis gimbal.

I’ve not had issues with batteries falling off having owned a Spark and now MA. Just be sure to check that the battery catch is engaged each time you slot it in.. I think the bigger risk of crash/ flyaways May be due to pilot errors (wrong RTH settings, flying into areas with strong magnetic/ electronic interference, etc). Nope.. Haven got a ND filter for my Mavic air. Furthermore it was cloudy that day.. so the footages a raw files from the sd card and edited using adobe premiere pro

Hi! Looking at the video some parts do look choppy. When I edited the video in premiere pro I thought it was because of pre-rendering or laptop performance.. Will investigate this further and hopefully future videos will not have this issue..

Travel Adventure Can you manually set the shutter speed? For 4K 60 you want a 1/120th second shutter. In bright sun you may need Nd filters to achieve this. This may be the cause of jittery footage?

Yeah it look like the shutter was not set to the 180 rule which is making the footage very choppy. First thing I did after I ordered my Mavic Air is order ND filters ! lol , you're gonna need em most of the time.

@Andrew Hart surely increasing the shutter speed to 1/120 will decrease exposure? adding an ND filter will be doubling the effect

Leo Chan I suggested aiming for a 1/120th shutter thinking the Mavic Air shot 4K at 60 frames per second but it only does 4K at 30 frames per second, thus you should aim for a shutter speed of 1/60th second to conform to the filmaking "180° shutter rule". This frame rate and shutter combination will provide the appropriate motion blur we are used to seeing in motion pictures and should reduce jitters in footage playback. Setting such a shutter speed in bright sun would result in over exposure which is why neutral density filters are required to reduce the exposure as the drone does not have a variable aperture.

I am currently using FCP 10.4 with Compressor 4.4 and here in UK we shoot 25fps and my Spark is 30fps. just tried the drone for the first time, in fact, its the first drone I have ever tried. Not a bad test today before the hail and rain came down. I do have Premier Pro, but never tried it. The quality of the Mavic footage is amazing. Now im going to sell the Spark to my son......hopefully. and order the Air.

Definitely love it. Shoots professional video quality and it’s really easy to fly. The Spark is good too for a first drone. Does what it’s supposed to at a much lower price, but the video is not as sharp and has less dynamic range (or depth) compared to Mavic Air. If you record 30fps and then convert to 24fps it makes video jittery and choppy it will remove frames.
