Dji Mavic Fully Customized Time lapse Video | DecalGirl Skin
In this video we transform our Dji Mavic Air 2 into a real life, Half Life drone with a skin from Decalgirl.
We use the skin called "Dystopia" and do a full timelapse video on the wrapping.
It took about 1.5hrs to complete in total from start to finish.

Never owned a wrap before. Does it stay on well? Doesn’t begin to “unwrap” at any point? And what if I want to take it off? Does it leave any residue?

THe DecalGIrl.com wraps don't leave residue, they are almost like re-usable stickers. If anything they could do with a little more stickiness. But I found that using a hairdryer helped them to stick better. I would rather them be a little less sticky and leave no residue, then over the top sticker and you cant remove.

I use Decalgirl on all my DJI quads . M2pro Mavic abd Mini . Only thing is the shipping cost but the skins are great good fit and I love the art ones I have from Japanese artists she British gives you a great individual quad

Not hard to take off at all. Decalgirl.com use a repositionable glue, it never "sets" so to speak. And no residue.

Walking in all Weathers I went for the same dystopia skin. I really like the worn out look it gives. The wife said “so you bought something to make a new thing look old?” She just have me 🙄look. 😂😂

looks cool, very tempted to wrap mine MA2 but got flimsy fingers and most likely I'll destroy it :) btw, are these easy to peal off without any glue residue left on the craft? thanks

Yeah they are very good. I am not sponsored by Decal Girl but they are super skins. They are made on vinyl so they don't rip and the glue is almost like re-usable. I could line it up and reposition as many times as I liked.

Thanks for the tutorial...that is the exact skin I was leaning towards. It is not such a contrasting color that it doesn't blend well with the existing color of the drone in the areas that were not covered.

Great Video, I just got my "Theory" skin for my Mavic Air 2. One thing that I noticed, you forgot the skins for the powerbuttons of the batteries. Yes, in the outcuts of the battery skin is another outcut like a ring. You must remove it alnd also the 4 very little outcuts for the leds (I barely saw them either, but they are there), and you get the remaining skin for the powerbuttons. I noticed that on the description of decalgirl they sent with the skin, there is a own number for the powerbutton skins.

Looks great not my ideal skin but but the fit and finish look great.any peeling yet ? i bought one from a UK firm and to be honest i cant keep it all stuck down and its peeing me off.these look better quality to me and i would say its thicker vinyl from what ive seen. its about $40 to get one over to the uk total so not cheap ,i dont mind if its a great product.the glue is just not up to the job on the one i bought ,£25 as well .so not happy tbh the seller is being a D---k as well.did you pay for std shipping and how long did it take to arrive.Great video by the way.

Yeah the stickiness on these ones also are no the best. its almost like re-position-able stickiness if that makes sense. it never really fully bonds. But a quick go over with the hair drier every some often makes it perfect.

Yeah Steve, it took about 1.5hrs to put on, and it can be fiddly in places but the skin fits really nicely.

You missed the power button decals. They're easy to overlook though, so it's understandable. Hopefully it helps someone who watches this video though. The circles left behind when the battery skin is pulled up, contain the skin for the battery's power button, complete with tiny little holes for the led indicator lights. The little holes are a challenge to remove, but I did it with mine. Try a safety pin.

Well, my skin arrived this morning from DecalGirl, and everything looked okay until I applied it to my Mavic Air 2. It made my £1000 drone look like a £50 knock-off (a very cheap toy). Needless to say, the decals stayed on the drone for less than 5 minutes - then I ripped them all off and chucked them in the fire! I had more fun watching them melt, than I did looking at them on the Mavic Air 2.

@@TheCameraManReviews "Solid State Orange". There were too many visible gaps, where the gunmetal grey (of the actually drone plastic) shone through and made it look very tacky. I would imagine that people who chose a skin with a colour close to that of gunmetal grey (EG: "White Marble", "Wing" or "ACU Camo"), would get a much more pleasing result! I have seen other skin makers (from Japan), where the decals overlap (leaving no visible gaps, and the skins are not as thick). I may try one of these and see if the results are better!

I literally just applied an off brand orange that had the same issue and was wondering if that issue existed with this brand in the exact orange color you mentioned. I'll leave it on for now considering I'm new to drones and it could help in the event I lose it, but I would love some of these other designs granted I get a better fit with the decals

Royal mail tried to deliver mine today but I wasn't at home. They want £13.80 customs duty and handling fee. I'm hoping that this is included in the cost of postage and not an extra

Graham Pier it won’t be included, you will have to pay it otherwise face customs😳😳. However, I had same problem with PGYtech when I ordered a lense filter, customs wanted over £20. What I did was to complain to PGYtech about not sending as a gift which would have avoided customs charges. PGYtech understood and refunded me £20 which covered costs. Maybe complain to Decalgirl??

It's a shame almost every skin on that side looks absolute arse. With no consideration to how the skin pattern conforms to the drone. Dystopia looks good though.
