DJI Mavic Pro flying 5840m (20,000 ft) above sea level around Mt. Everest (extreme altitude) 

Hey guys, I know it's tempting but don't just go out there and fly. apply for permit from Nepal first. There are several rescuing helicopters flying there everyday, if you don't avoid them you can crash into them. just be very very careful. also there are military around, if you fly near you can get arrested, not kidding, it happened to someone before

Hi Yumian, great video. It looks like most of the video was set over the Renjo La and around Gokyo lake/Gokyo Ri, which is a nice change to Everest base camp/Kala Pattar as you see a nice mountain panorama

Hi. Flew my Mavic Pro on Misti mountain in Peru. (5822 mt). Pased 6000mt, and wasen`t a problem. The drone is awsome. Batery was okay also. Maybe i should make a video, and post it:)

Hey! Really awesome piece of art.. well done! Just got my mavic and i am struggling to get nice crisp movements on the video (not drone movement, i'm used to smoth flying because of my rc-model flying experience, i'm talking about the smoothness of the pans in the videoclips) .. i think the problem is the high shutter speed i am using since i have not got any nd filters yet .. may i ask you if you used nd filters in your clips? This is were you get permits for flying drones in Nepal: www.caanepal.org.np/drone/. I'm planning a trip to Langtang trek this year. Still unsure wether to take Mavic or find a way to transport Phantom 4 Pro which has much better image quality. Also the permit requires you to specify dates, times, locations for each flight, but while trekking there's no way to know these details before I arrive there, so that's a bit puzzling still.

The Mavic has an Operating Temp between 0-40c right? I just returned from Everest and up at Base Camp (or higher), it's -15c ambient. In fact, in Kalapathar it was around -30c. What was the battery life in the cold? And the motors had no issue in this cold temperature?? I should have brought one along...

did you get no problems at all in flying the mavic pro at about 20.000 feet? battery, signal etc..

Great shots! did you notice any difference when flying the drone at lower altitude (for ex 200-300 metres)? i flew my mavic at 3000 metres and battery was strongly affected, going down very quick, because of the high altitude. Also the power of motor was affected too. Thank you

Im going in December and Im concerned about the rescue helis. My hope is that since its a slower season in December that there will be fewer if any helicopters around.... Did you take the mavic up the max 500m?
