Question, i have the dji osmo action 4 with the dji mic 2 if im recording a video, will the sound be stored in the micro sd card or will i have to export the audio file from the dji mic and transfer it over to the video on a computer , seems complicated lol or can you make a video showing how its done , would be nice thanks 🙏

Hi! Great video!! I’m loving my DJI Pocket 3 and the DJI Mic 2 has really improved my audio. Is it possible to use 3-4 DJI MIC 2’s? I want to record 3-4 people the simplest way possible. Perhaps using the transmitters as standalone recorders and meshing it together in FCP? I’m disabled and try to do everything with my phone, iPad, pocket 3, and DJI mic 2. I have a Mac but much prefer touchscreen input. I’m upgrading my gen 1 iPad Pro to m3 iPad when it comes out

Not certified as such… but when it’s attached with the clips or magnets they should not be to exposed to moisture because of the distance to where they are attached… if you are not swimming with them :)

Two quick points, the case, is exactly the same case which comes with the Pocket 3 combination, nice but no big deal I can’t remember what i have in mine, i think just cables and plugs, but more importantly i wonder if i could pick your brains, i have connected my Mic 2 (which i bought with the pocket 3) to my DJI Remote Controller 2 ( via Bluetooth ) this is the controller for my Mini 4 Pro Drone, before i fumble about in the dark i was wondering if you have any advice on getting audio with my screen recordings on the Controller 2. Bit long winded i know but can you help? Thank you.

Great tutorial! Despite having the same equipment setup (DJI Mic 2 + Sony A7Siii), using the +1 on-camera level and +9 receiver gain, when I pull the footage into FCP, the volume is ridiculously low. Even if I max out the volume in FCP, the levels are way too low for RU-vid. I don't understand how you other pro creators get these things to work with the A7Siii. I'm about ready to give up on them.

Dont use +1 on camera. That’s way too low for me too. The audio meter should average about -12db in camera. I usually end up with 5-6 in camera gain.

Not sure if you can answer this.... Can the USB-C ports be used to connect the receiver to the iPhone 13 pro or 15 pro? With all the hype about using the SmallRig Cage.... the receiver does not fit with the cage but I have seen others who say use a cable from the receiver to the iPhone when using the cage. Can't get it to work! Yes the BlueTooth is the next alternative to use with the transmitter. Anybody ideas?

Tjena. Du som är kunnig på DJI produkter. Kan du hjälpa mig med en sak. Jag har nyligen köpt DJI Mic 1. Men när jag spelar in och sen lyssnar på det i datorn så är ljudet väldigt lågt. Testat vridit upp gain på allt men fortfarande väldigt lågt ljud. Har du någon idé varför och hur jag kan lösa det. Tack på förhand!

Great video as usual. What do you think of getting the transmitter by itself? Gives you the 32 bit float, bluetooth connectivity, small package...I really wish they had included timecode. That would have made it an easy decision.

Hi, I just released a video on the bluetooth to smartphone connectivity … and there are issues - connecting to a phone with bluetooth disables the internal recording in 32 bit float - so if you just get the Mic 2/Transmitter you have to choose to either just record separately directly to the mic, and then put that audiofile in your editor and sync, or use bluetooth and record to your phone, but no internal backup recording on the mic, neither 24 bit or 32 bit float. And to top it off: the bluetooth connection degrades the audio/muffles the recording, since bluetooth is lower bandwidth than the 2.4ghz DJI use to connect to their receiver - watch my video for the details :)

@@AndreSjoberg Yeah, that was a known thing, I think. Once in bluetooth mode, you can't do any internal recording, I think. I was mainly thinking of using it for quick on the go stuff anyway, because I already have the DJI Mic 1, and you can only get the benefits of 32 bit float when recording internally anyway. So, what would be the point of getting the new receiver? Bluetooth connectivity OR 32 bit float are only features of the transmitters, and I didn't really see any massive upgrades on the receiver side.

For so many, it could be very sufficient to just get a stand alone transmitter / recorder. And then just use the internal recording… BUT there are probably many other stand alone recorders out there that beats the Mic2 recorder… like a zoom variant and then attach a lav mic…. II honestly have a hard time to really recommend the mic 2…. Even with this being the new kid in the block… my vote is going for the Rode wireless pro… honestly…

@@MK-Creator I do prefer the form factor of the DJI Mic 2, but i was actually looking at the tentacle track e, to get timecode as well. Would love to see a head to head comparison with that one.

@@MaximoJoshua Yeah, it was «know», that in DJI put that info behind a mouse-over (i) symbol on the spec-page, and also at the bottom last FAQ-point in the FAQ - so it’s very easily overlooked by many that skim through specs, not mentioned at all in all the «not sponsored (but sponsored with a free set, so sponsored by proxy) by several creators which is a little bit shady - Personally I got it anyway even though I discovered that fact before buying (on my 4th readthrough of the specs) but figured doing just internal recording when I’m on the go should be fine, even though the workflow gets a bit more messy, and using the receiver when I’m in my shop making my tutorials for my other channel where I need to be able to move around and talk while camera is stationary. So since the bluetooth quality is really muffled I would say use the internal recording feature in 32 bit float when on the go and the transmitter is not connected through bluetooth. One thing I haven’t looked into yet is *if* it’s possible using only the transmitter/mic, to switch between backup recording modes - because from what I’ve seen you have to use the receiver to set options for the mic/transmitter, like mono/stereo, 24bit/32bit - mute and intelligent noise cancellation can be controlled by the mic (while in «dji transmitter mode») as well as start/stop recording, but without the receiver you can’t switch quality, or adjust gain on the mic - but will be looking into that on my next video :)

I am writting my consolusion after a very tough comparsion of the 2 mics regarding sound quality! DJI MIC 2 Firmware version: v04.02.01.13 Røde Mic 2 Firmware version: 1.2.8 1) Using Røde Lav II mic on both units (DJI Mic 2 , Røde Wireless Pro) : -- Noise Cancellation off , No Low cut filter : Simple! They both almost identical. You will never beleive it. You can't prefer one other the second. They might sound different if you compare them using 2 different LAVs which is not fair. -- Noise Cancellation On (DJI MIC2) : Røde Wins 100%. 2) NO LAV on both , RAW audio, No DeadCat wind shield. Both clipped equally on the top of my shirt: Røde : Better sound quality! Way better than the DJI Mic 2. Of course it depends on your voice and how much is the difference for your voice, but in General from audio samples from others as well, I found the Røde sound quality is more pure and native and fuller So, Finally: in case you will be using both with LAV, I think you are good to go with the one you prefer more. - if you care about the nice design and the very handy touch screen and compact case, DJI Mic 2 is the winner. - If you care about the noise reduction, then DJI is the clear winner. - If you are going to be hybrid between LAV and without, then the clear winner is the Røde. - If you are going to use it for street interviews, Røde is the winner again. @@MK-Creator Thank you for the great content you are providing 🙏 It was a tough decision. I was waiting days and nights for DJI Mic 2, and now I believe it’s not easy to know what to buy/keep 😅.. Finally, In my case I decided to keep Røde because I need that Audio to sound better. Other factors I am missing from DJI I have to live without it 😥

15:40 is a bit misleading, maybe from the product itself. Having "recording mode" on the receiver implies that the receiver can RECORD audio, which I don't think is correct.

When I connect either transmitter to my android phone, it is not recording through the dji mic 2 but from the phone itself. I've successfully connected both transmitters via bluetooth but it says they are only being used for phone calls. Any idea what I did wrong?

HOLY MOLY I was doing exact what u was doing & in the last i coukdnt get the blue light off and it didnt showed the transmitter battery inside the case u got me lil nervous there bro after convecting it with my ipad i was somehow able to get the battery icon back,..ufffff
