NB - be aware that on all these drones, those four battery LEDs are no more than the very broadest indication. IOW, don't rely on four LEDs indicating a 100%charge present. As you're flying, remember those LEDs take a decent bit of de-charge flight before you lose that first LED charge indicator. Believing 4 lit up to indicate full charge can get you caught out when out in the field if you didn't do a proper level check before leaving home. And this applies to every single DJI bird I've got from Phantoms downwards.

Can I also charge 1. the controller, 2. the single batteries (in the drone), and 3. all three of these together in the hub via a powerbank?, and - how strong that power bank should be then? - at what Voltage? - any idea about what would be the times these processes would take then? nice tuto. some basic questions : - how do you store battery pack (on left), mini3pro and RC smart in fly case ? impossible to group RC and 3pro in the right part too small and helix could break ! - when 2 or 3 batteries are charged in DJI charger, do you leave them in place or remove from charger ? - when you have three batteries charged, use one for 3pro and this one is empty after 30min, do you insert this battery in charger with the twoother ones still in place or remove the two other in order not to "over charge/heat" ?

Very good video. That said, folks need to stop referring to chargers as "USB *C* chargers". USB Type C is a *connector* type, not a charger type. The charger used in the video [1:07] appears to use a standard USB type *A* port on the charger, and the *cable* has a USB type "C" *connector* on the other end. Therefore, that would not a be a USB-C charger. Same goes for USB cables: There is no such thing as a USB "C" cable. It's either a USB-C (connector) to USB-C (connector) cable, or a USB-A to USB-C cable, etc. [ _Maybe_ it wouldn't be too bad to refer to a PD charger as a "USB PD" charger, which would by default use a type C connector, but that's another technical discussion. ] I just ordered the DJI Mini 3 Pro as a first drone, haven't received it yet, but had a hunch that I should check into this charger thing so I'm ready when the drone arrives. As expected, there's a lot of confusing terminology used in a lot of places, and it's slightly tricky just to figure out from the description on the DJI website exactly which charger/cable I'll be able to use - and whether I might already have one. Glad I started looking before the drone arrived, since it looks like all I have are the common USB-A to USB-Micro B cables (the most common cable that older smart phones use). And the only charger bricks I have (for the phones) are 5 volt, 1.2 amp - which means that would be roughly 6 watts of output. Which means now I have to wait or wonder whether I'll be charging that drone for 2 days (joke), or if I'll need to buy a charger.

Hello there Dan. I recall hearing somewhere or having read somewhere that it's important to charge the batteries for my Air 2 drone with the included charger. This only applied to the first charge, after which point one can charge their batteries with an aftermarket multi charger. The reason I asked is I ordered an aftermarket multi charger for the Mini 3 Pro batteries which can charge up to 4 of them simultaneously. I used this same type and brand of multi charger for my Air 2 which worked perfectly. I did make sure to charge my Air 2 batteries with the included DJI charger for their first charge. I can't say for sure weather or not that was necessary but I did it out of precaution. It took about 7 1/2 hoers to charge all 5 batteries I have for my Mavic Air 2, now it only takes about 90 minutes to charge all 5 of them. Now I know that was a long explanation to a short question but my question is this. Is it recommended to always charge DJI drone batteries with the included charger for their first charge, or is this merely hearsay? Thanks in advance, Eric

When connecting the 3-battery hub directly to electricity mains and simultaneously connect the hub to the controller, the green lights on the controller don’t light up unless I press the power-on switch on the controller.. so what does this mean?

I plugged the remote controller to electricity main and no lights came on, only when I press on switch on the controller, all four green lights on the controller light up 🤔 so does this mean the controller is fully charged up ❓

Can I use Air 2s original charger to charge my RC controler?

1:13 Power source is the big thing here. I bought the combo package and got a lot of batteries (3) and the DC controller. BUT I only have low power charging devices on my own for my mobile phone. These are weak (5v, 1a) and it takes AGES to charge any of the batteries included. So basicly you need a powerful charger to use the even more powerful charger in the package. Why could they not include a propper power source/charger like the one you are using ?

Is it the same for the mini 4?

Hello Dan, I'm Looking into buying a DJI Mini Drone for myself (Probably The Mini 4 Pro that's coming soon), And I'm wondering, if is it possible for me to use a different charging adapter? (For example, I can use a third-party charging cable that's plugged into some power board, and the cable is plugged into a different adapter/outlet compared to the 30W DJI Adapter that's sold separately) Rather than me having to use the 30W DJI charger that's sold separately along with the cables that came with the Fly More kit and the standard combo with only the drone, RC, and the single battery. I hardly own any adapters and cables that I use for charging and I'm just needing to know if I can use a third-party adapter and cable for when I get my DJI drone in the future. I charged my DJI mini 3 with a 15w Samsung fast charger for 5 cycles, then I read that that is bad for the battery and so I ordered a 30w UGREEN adapter. I hope my battery is not damaged. Do you think it is damaged?

Switching Devices to Charge: When both the intelligent flight battery and an external device are connected for charging, the battery will be charged before the external device. Press and hold the function button on the charging hub for two seconds to prioritize charging external devices. Charge for Intelligent Flight Batteries will be continued after the external device is fully charged or it has been charged for 4 hours. When charging an external device, press and hold the function button for two seconds to switch back to charging Intelligent Flight Batteries.

A rechargeable device without the charger? WTF?

What the hell is a 12Volt and 15Volt charger? It's usb-c. It's a standard. There are no 12V and 15V chargers with USB-C.
