Thank you for the update re the Mini 3 Pro and the Litchi app. I would like to try it with my Mini 3 Pro when it is available. Also good to know that I could use my older Mini 2 controller as a backup to my Mini 3 controller. I enjoyed in full to the end. Thank you, my friend.
Many people speculate that DJI has no more plans to make SDK kits for IOS/Apple. And this is based on a post they (DJI) made a year ago (sorry, I don't have the link). So if you plan flying current and future DJI drones with third party apps, it's time to invest in an Android device. And thanks for channel shout out in the video, your top man Shaun. Great video, and thanks for sharing.
Thank you Ron for the information, thankfully I've got litchi on both Android and IOS as I used to use Android in the old days. Hopefully I will get the update I'm waiting for on my Android. Many thanks for watching :)
iOS is too proprietary and this is why DJI chose Android for their controllers. iOS is not customisable enough in most cases and used for the old boomers to use tech
Hello there! First of all, thank you for the videos; they've been immensely helpful. I recently purchased the Mini 3 Pro and excitedly got the Litchi app about a month ago, hoping it would support my drone. Unfortunately, I encountered a connection issue and later found out through the forum that the app doesn't currently support the Mini 3 Pro. I genuinely appreciate the convenience of planning missions on my home desktop and having the drone, coupled with the app, do most of the work. As a novice who acquired the drone just two months back, I've already signed up as a beta tester and eagerly await the update. I'm looking for guidance on the connection process between the app and the controller. Despite having an Android phone and the same controller as showcased in your videos, I couldn't establish the connection, possibly due to not using the beta version. I'm open to any and all advice on this matter. Thank you!
Unfortunately like you, they have only picked a small few to test out the Mini 3 Pro and still no date given. Hopefully it wont be too long now that the Mini 4 Pro is out. But once it's available, I will be making the videos. Many thanks for your comment.
Just got a mini 3 pro and very disappointed that DJI does not support waypoints out of the box, hopefully Litchi solves this soon, thanks for the info!@@shaunthedrone
Good question Maurice, with Litchi, if the drone loses signal, it will carry on with its mission unless you regain signal, cancel and return to home. Many thanks for watching.
It will NOT carry on with the mission because these apps just send the preconfigured consecutive orders to *controller* so the controller sends them to the aircraft. If connection is lost then drone will probably RTH or - even worse - stay where it is hovering.
Good question, I'm still on the Beta list and still not been chosen. They have been having a few issues with the Mini 3 Pro. I would imagine so. Many thanks for watching.
