In this video I share my first reaction after using the anamorphic and wide angle lenses for DJI Mini 3 pro for the past 2 weeks.
It is a MASSIVE upgrade for my drone as this Kit of lenses from ‪@FreewellGear‬ takes the cinematic footage from the drone to the next level.

I have these same lenses for my M3P and they are fantastic. Ordered them direct from Freewell in Hong Kong though. I love how the anamorphic lens gives you so much more width with very minimal bend of the frame.

I’m not working for anyone. I make videos for many brands and their social medias like: Freewell, NANLITE, Moza, Feelworld etc. However this is my personal channel and none of the companies have any input on the videos and content I post here. Though I do make sponsored videos from time to time, but I always mention that it includes paid promotion.

do you know if they plan on doing 1.33x anamorphic? I saw another video where you explained it would make it heavier etc, but I'm just curious if there are any plans for it. It would be great for creating seamless/uncropped videos with other 1.33x videos.

Can you use the anamorphic lenses in any light conditions? Even when it's cloudy, and dark days? Or it would be better to get ND 4 and ND 8

Yeah, I used the anamorphic throughout a whole day/night in this video. The usage of nd filter is only necessary to lower the shutter speed (but not needed all the time).

Wait can't you set it on full screen and do the same thing and then set your drone during or after you recorded it.. 🤔 and get the same results

I think that I like it, but what the heck is the blue streak across the video at times - (lens flare???) as that is a deal breaker if the lens causes that.

Please check what is an anamorphic lens and what kind of image it produces. There are lots of documentary videos on YT about anamorphics. Wide angle doesn’t produce any flares though

That is the effect of the anamorphic lens, not the wide angle. But I agree, it looks ghastly and the wide angle too soft in corners, for me it is not acceptable, for both.

Are you comparing the Mini 3 pro to the GoPro's field of view? if so I'd recommend you to use a fullframe cinema camera and shoot open gate with something like a 12mm lens
