This is a wonderful review. The main thing I would use this for is Real Estate when the home is surrounded by a heavily wooded area. I can't fly far back enough to get the whole house in my shot and ground photos with my canon are pitched at a weird angle when on a sloping hill. The main issue for me would be does the quality of the image change and it sounds like it doesn't make much of a difference. Thank you so much for all the good information!!
Thanks so much for the great comment! Glad the video was helpful to you. I used to shoot real estate quite a bit and the situation you described is really one of the main uses I could see people really finding the wide angle lens helpful.
one of the advantage of this wide lens is. when you are shooting on a tight location while moving backward, you might prevent crashing because of the wideness of the view. you are more aware of the distance from the object at the back. Unlike the normal view when you're shooting backward, it's more prone on crashing because you might thinking that you are still far from the object beside your drone while moving backward. which most common cause of crashes.
Finally a good review! Thank you for the details and effort you put into this video! I carried expensive wide-angle lenses in my camera bags for many years. I seldom if ever used them! *Beware of counterfeit (unnamed Chinese Store) copies. They use poor-quality glass and charge more than DJI.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for the nice comment! And yes, the lens is definitely not the place to cheap out and try a Chinese knock off cause it’s always so hard to remove the imperfections it may introduce.
Great review. I bought this lens prematurely thinking it would assist in real estate photos but I just pretty much don't use it a lot. Similar to what you said, it's a lot of work to put on and off and the usage of it is limited. Noone wants to watch an entire wide angle video so it's good .... sometimes :/
Wow thanks, appreciate the compliment. I recorded myself talking with a Rode lav mic plugged into the Zoom F2. This was synced with the video manually by clapping while recording with the drone and mic and then lining up the action and sound in post. Hope that’s a clear concise explanation, but if not, I actually have a full video on recording audio for drone video on my channel.
Haha good eye! Yeah - needed a few more comparison shots and had already left Kuala Lumpur. Change of scenery was good however was not ready for the weather to be quite as cold though 😂
Depends on a couple things. I have a whole video up comparing the two but basically: Mini 3 Pro if you will benefit from the increased portability, longer flight time, or vertical filming Mavic 2 Pro if you really need the DLOG/HLG modes, can get a good deal on a used one (in good condition), or are focusing more towards photography
It’s compatible with the Mini 3 *Pro* only actually (not sure if that’s what you meant but just wanted to make sure cause it’s oddly not compatible with the standard Mini 3). However, DJI does offer wide angle lenses for all their new drones including the new Mini 4 Pro.
Sorry, I didn’t get around to uploading some sample clips yet (was kinda trying to see if anyone really cared) but I’ll get on it now that you mentioned in.
@@RanjanSharma2001 Just got it up! (recheck description) Was waiting until at least a couple people asked for so I knew it'd be worth my time. Hope you find them helpful.
