Great video! I think you pretty much nailed it. They’re both tools for specific uses. The mini is probably a better choice if you can only have 1. But the Avata will get shots you can’t get otherwise.
I want them both as they are so different in what they offer, maybe DJI will create a more hybrid in 2023. I’m still flying my Spark, just wish I could use the RC with the screen and not my phone as the screen.
My first drone was the Avata, and like you described being a little uneasy wearing the goggles I added the Mini 3 to fly at times. The Avata is to much fun and the mini 3 is Ok.. both have their pros and cons, but for me, I bought to just have fun, so the Avata wins. I plan to give the mini 3 its proper place with how I like to play.
I'd go for the Mini 3 Pro, I don't do goggles & motion sickness. I also like the size and weight of the Mini 3 when traveling . Thanks for the comparison review! Cheers!
I see you have a little rain in some of your videos I have always wondered if it was ok to use my drone in light rain? I live in Seattle and there is usually a light most parts of the year. Thanks
Both are capable of good video. If you want simple controlled movements the Mini 3 Pro is great. If you want more flowing, in and out and around - the Avata would be my recommendation.
