This video is a review of my experience using the DJI Mini Pro 4 to active track myself while road cycling aka road biking. I’m riding my Specialized Tarmac SL8 Pro.
The DJI Mini 4 Pro is a professional mini drone, it features modes and settings that normally are available only in drones that cost more money. The Mini 4 Pro can fit easily into your pocket. The Mini 4 Pro can capture 4K 60fps HDR video, 4K 100fps slow motion video and 48MP still photos, it also features omnidirectional obstacle avoidance with ActiveTrack 360 degrees and OcuSync 4 with 20km of range

Definitely can do 20 miles… just depends on obstacles. I have extended battery and have tracked me on 12 mile rides no problem, but in mostly open terrain. Good riding!

Nice video. I've wanted to see what I look like while riding but carrying the controller has been the limiting factor. I like how you mounted your controller. For an easier though less capable solution I bought a HoverAir X1.

Thanks! I also have a HoverAir X1. It’s almost perfect for cycling. Easy to carry with you, takes less than a minute to have it in the air recording, and the camera produces quality videos. The Hover needs some small improvements like being able to go faster than 15 mph, obstacle avoidance, longer battery time, and 4K video recording.

Did you try the nifty setting for avoidance? I haven't used this yet and was wondering if it'd be faster since it's "suppose" to pass obstacles in a more fluid dynamic way.

I haven't tried nifty yet. I'm afraid to try nifty. However, in the active track setting I changed the camera motion from normal to fast. It seems to track better in fast than in normal.
