Hi Dan! Great review. You really showed how well the ActiveTrack works and I like the new features of it. I do find that during activetrack that when trying to wrap around, it's never as fast as I like. It always takes a little while. That was something that Skydio had done well. I hope that DJI continues to update and make ActiveTrack better as the time goes on. Great share :)
Huh. A lot of these test moves didn’t work so well actually. Like when you turned your body it just got confused and stopped. Or if you walked towards it the drone had trouble leading you at the correct pace. It looked like it was bouncing away from you over and over.
Lots to explore on Mini 4 Pro. If you set Camera heading, gimbal and zoom to manual, you can have simulated dual operator mode like Inspire on a Waypoint Mission. Further, you can use vertical during Waypoints! Lots of things to explore. Plus there's "Near Ground Flight" -to prevent a repeat of Air 3 Active Track Obstacle Seeking - vs. Avoidance, lol! If they add Active Track 360 will you re-test the Air 3? I know you said no more, but you can get over it, with help from the Fearless Drone Academy 😂
I tested this walking through the TREE-LINED neighborhood. Pro Tip: don't set Camera Motion to "Fast" when you arevamong obstacles. Mini 4 flew like a champ, but I nearly had a stroke with how aggressively it would change positions! "Strong Environmental Interference" simply means "there's obstacles, dude. I can't go where you just selected, so I'm take over for a bit." -it's a slap on the wrist for poor positional choices.
@@DansTubeTV can't argue wuth that! I personally love Active Track 360, just not a fan if "Fast camera motion" around trees. The drone handles them beautifully, but my heart skips beats so much, as it aggressively flys through gaps and peeks at me, cheekily between branches, lol!
It's always on by default when tracking. I haven't tested sport mode which normally turns it off, but not in RTH. More testing is advised. . Safely, lol!
