Thanks, we do get a fair amount of Hawks and Eagles around our place so hopefully I can get some more video like this, I'll try and stay a bit longer next time.
I've been flying my neo in manual FPV mode, and I've really been enjoying it. You can scoot around tight places and not worry about bouncing off something. It's good practice before I go destroy my Avata 2, lol!
Such a cool drone and so versatile. Birds are nice to look at, but I once had a much bigger drone attacked by a smallish bird. Attacked it all the way down to the ground and the drone was a right off. Really cautious of birds now. Have some red reflective tape on my drone to hopefully deter them.
Not a bad lil FPV drone. I just wished it worked with the O3 gear. I'm not trying to invest in the O4 system with the looming band. Also all the GPS tracking and stuff they force on you now, remote ID, etc is kinda of a buzz kill/ turn off too.
Yes I was a bit turned off it was not compatible with my DJI Goggles Integra that only came out about a year ago? The license requesting is a bit of pain at first till you figure it out. I have to make a request on the DJI Fly-Safe website fly it in my yard as I am in a blue zone. So I need to request for 3 days at a time and make sure the request license is sent to the drone prior to flying. If you turn it off you need to send the license to it again which is kind of stupid. License requesting is immediate which is nice.
By far most experienced flight I've seen with the neo so far.... I can't wait to afford one , I know they are fairly cheap but with bills and single parent it's hard to save for such things these days.. any advice on the neo?? What do u like and dislike about the drone? Is it a good investment??? I'm thinking about using it to surveillance my property when my kiddos are out back playing and such.... What do u think?? Do you know where I can purchase a used one for fairly cheap????? I KNOW THATS A LOT TO ANSWER BUT I SURE DO APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION YOU MAY SHARE WITH ME... thanks! And God bless! Thanks, I was just having fun, nothing planned... The NEO on its own is already really cheap at $250 Canadian which is great value. If you want to fly FPV, that's when it isn't so cheap as you will need the Goggles 3 ($650 Canadian) and a controller, either the motion controller 3 which is less expensive at around ($100 Canadian) or if you want to go full manual fpv then you need the DJI FPV Controller 3 at around ($250 Canadian). These are the newest versions, so finding them used is not going to be easy! Right now the DJI Neo is my favorite FPV drone to fly, not because it is the best or fastest or has the best video quality. But because it is pretty cheap on it's own if I were to lose it or crash it bad. It is also super durable so even if you do crash it hard it is probably going to be just fine. That takes a lot out of the stress out of flying FPV, so you can focus on having fun and you are more likely to fly more often.
Neo is still very new in some countries, I wouldn't expect to see a lot of used ones. Keep your eyes on DJI Store and BestBuy for possible refurbs. It is rumored that dji will soon release Goggles N3 for the Neo at a substantially lower price point than Goggles 3, which in my opinion are overpriced and not very confortable. Motion controller is cheap enough, but it must be version 3 to work.
