I've been waiting to make this for a while now - moved on from hands free with the new DJI Neo and now using the Goggles 3 & Motion Controller 3 as a FPV drone and to be honest - amazed! enjoy the video
@@Droneaway-72 Hi, you only use the phone to bind the devices or when updating. Plug your cable from phone to Goggles 3 and usually the screen will come up on your phone to view, I use it to show what's going on - sometimes it don't work.
I agree about people around, especially with the goggles on. I live in the city so i have a fear of getting tunnel vision and not paying attention to my surroundings and then getting robbed or sucker punched. Even with the Mavic i had that problem of launching then all the sudden im surrounded by homeless wanting to look at the screen, like crap am i going to have to fight them off now....
Thank you Roy, glad you enjoyed the video and you will be so happy with this drone - so much you can do - DJI have done their best so far. Many thanks for watching
Thank you Paul, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, if I didn't know I was flying the DJI Neo, I would have sworn it was the DJI Avata 2. Not put it through all my tests as a FPV drone but so far, it's looking good and I said I wouldn't buy this drone Many thanks for watching
You have to have the goggles since the controllers control through the goggles but you can turn the goggles on and put them down and fly without them...flying line of sight only.
@shaunthedrone thanks, i asked because i have the DJI RC2 and planned to connect my ar glasses into the controller and then use the motion controller to fly without having to buy the new goggles. It would've been a dope way to fly fpv while still being able to see my surroundings well.
