As he says its a definite step forward but not without some tradeoffs like weight, heat, price and camera size. Plus some settings. Im good with my v2’s DJI and HDO2 analog. To me the slight benefits of video quality and not needing a Gopro just arent worth the cost of upgrading.

There are handful of DJI Sponsored RU-vidrs out there. Mads tech has been ditched by DJI on this release due to the fact that he's just asking some questions and raising some concerns about the goggles 02 and 03 AU which made DJI hurt their feelings., LOL you know a couple youtubers out there who are Solid DJI fanboys. Rain or Shine, this system is always good to them. DJI has the eyes on them. if they didn't like your content, you are out of the league Edit: here's one of them.. FPV newssss~~

Be careful Joseph, I have now flown the O3 air unit, if felt a bit better than the original. Then I went back to the original and it looks awful in comparison. It will ruin you. I was more than satisfied to fly the original vista for ever, and thought the image was fantastic (before the O3). What do I now do with 20 caddx vistas?

What channels does it use (frequency). Do the align with current channels? How much bandwidth is each channel using? Compatibility issues when flying with other people and systems, physical separation required? Isn't the power and baud rate automatic, meaning you could potentially stomp others? Can the power output be reduced? The list can go on.

Just came across your channel, nice one Ian. I'm using a Mavic mini2 usually with an ND4 filter, working on still shots and some video footage. On the ground I am an enthusiastic photographer, and looking at a Air2 s. Is there any various drone/company options out there I can consider taking the next step up from the Mini2 ?

That iflight box sitting on the right side of the video made me think the "product under embargo" he was talking about is probably from iflight🤣. And a question about the gyro placement, Bardwell said the gyro sensor is in the unit itself, while you said its in the camera, any clarrifications? 7:56

One thing to note is that the Oleds in Goggles 2 will reduce latency by another 3-8ms so it will be faster then v2 even at 100fps

Maybe DJI need to be reminded of the difference in culture in the Western world vs China. Any product that has only positive information released is likely to be propaganda. I have spent probably £5k on DJI products based on your reviews as I will only invest in products when I am aware of the flaws as well as the positives. Most people will not spend their money until they know the downside as well as the upside. If I want the sanitised version then I will go to the retailer / manufacturer / shill. Before I spend my money I will watch your review. Thanks Mads

No hacking needed. In FCC mode, air unit puts out close to 2 Watts (33dbm). No wonder why it gets so hot.

Just bought one because of 4k/120 fps support. The image quality is somewhat close to gopros, it was just missing the 120 FPS for cinematic footage stuff that needs to be slowed down.... I can get rid of the bulky go pro and save a ton of weight... Also, only $230? Worth the price premium over the original air unit/caddx vistas at least IMO... the gochas are there, but it's kind of limited to specific uses... power mode shouldn't be that much of a issue if the range is similar to the Avata drone...

Does O3 provide head-tracking signal for pan & tilt gimbal like original Ocusync Air Unit?

The Goggles 2 do headtracking which is utilised on the Avata to good effect. I can't see anything on the O3 air unit where you would be able to use it with your own DIY system as of yet. I suspect DJI will have no interest in doing this which may be why the rumoured Goggles 2 lite is reported to have the head tracking unit taken out for FPV pilots. If anyone will report on it then Mads will so just keep watching his channel and you will find out before you hear it anywhere else.

Bought the o3 air unit from dji directly. Does anyone know if extra importtaxes have to be paid in the Netherlands ? With aliexpress or banggood you dont, its all inclusive.

I wonder how the 2.4ghz controller link on the DJI controller compares with others like TBS or ELRS, and if it's worth using another controller because of this. I use the original DJI controller with my Vistas and I'm happy with it, since it outruns my video.

Dji is not obligated to send r have anybody give advice about their products ESPECIALLY your channel which is PURE HONESTY. That out the way dji is on the way out. Cheap products with expensive tabs.

I guess you have learned that if you don't do as DJI wishes, they will cut you off. I work for a DJI dealer and if we don't complete certain trainings and do what DJI says, they cut off all support and ability to order parts. If DJI ever get real competition, it will hurt them if they continue to do business as they do. I don't like how the chinese just expect everyone to put up with how they do business. The way they do business is shit!

That's to say, if they had the Goggles 2 compatible with the Air Units and Vistas, I'd buy into this system and leave my V1 goggles behind. But I won't be buying the new goggles and a boat load (8x) of O3 VTXs to swap all my wings and quads. Nor will I buy just a few O3's and fly from 2 seperate setups.
