Maybe you are going to say why folks might use one of these. Other than that's cool I wonder what I would use it for. The smartphone bit is appealing for our power outs.
Ppl selling used gear in fpv need a reality check. Most ppl always seem to think used items should be 10-20% cheaper than new. This stuff is so disposable and gets outdated almost overnight.
I have an 03 air unit and my camera cable ripped out leaving the mipi connection on the air unit damaged without hope for repair. I am curious if there is a way to replace that mipi connection on the air unit, or to buy a whole board that includes the camera connection. or lastly purchase a new 03 transmission module. Thanks mads tech in advance!
Hii, i buy fcc dji fly and make ham file.. Before in CE it was only automatic, now in FCC i can put manual and have many channels but I always have automatic, I don't know which one to choose..
Only two problems. First of all I'm never going to send any of my through any cloud. Second of all I just can't use bamboo studio. For what I do it is unusable.
Maybe you can help. I have an o3 in a rotor riot tanq. I noticed some side to side jitters on the roll axis with eis turned on. I saw a video about the camere lens coming loose. I pulled it apart. Did not feel loose. But added a dab of glue for good measure. Then once back together that side ro side ahake got way worse ar high theottle. Unusable. With eis off its butter smooth! Ao i tried to see about using gyroflow. But i cannot get the camera to record gyro data?.... Eis off wide angle. Any ideas? Tried so much. Diff mounting, ect. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for all your great videos.
I think this would be super fun with head tracking on top of an fpv quad. I think being able to see the quad around your view would help with orientation. Really a shame that the head tracking in the goggles 2 and up isn't available to betaflight.
Maybe they could make the neck of the camera mount hinged, that can be angled. This way the camera can be mounted forward, upward or downward. Although it'll be a bit heavier because of the nut and bolt addition.
Omg can’t believe you got it first I talked to them as soon as I saw the ad and they sent me a few to review but it’s still with their forwarding shipping company lol
This video is probably not up-to-date anymore. I have a O3 unit, its activated (camera too) and I still cant calibrate the camera. My expert tecnician says this is happening to all O3 cameras now when replaced and that there is no fix. Is this true??? @madstech
@@MadRC unfortunately you are wrong.. I have original O3 cameras and all of them are having this calibration error. Mine is activated and won't calibrate. Make a new video! ❤️
This is perfect for my fixed wing (skyhunter) kit that I've had laying around for years... I wonder if it's possible to flip the pitch axis, somehow...
Ok total Noob to the world of sUAV and FPV. If this question is to dumb, I’m willing to take the berating. My question is if I do the “FCC/HAM” unlock I will get the “manual mode speed” even though I’m using “RC Motion 3 controller”. Will the Aircraft control characteristics change because of the mode change that is associated with the FPV Remote controller3? I just want to make sure I understood this correctly. Thanks in advance.
I am also wanting to do this for my Arrma Kraton. Do I need anything else besides an O3 air unit and DJI Googles? Will head tracking work or do I also need to hook up a flight controller?
Interesting find Ian! A test flight in fpv mode and all axis locked would have been nice, to see how good the motors are to keep the camera locked in fast dynamic flight...
The FPV mode landed Sunday and it was raining. I did not want to wait on the video but added in the mode option. I will cover it in a future video separately.
Sorry the answer to this question seems vague. Can you confirm this gimbal can be used on the top of a drone? A mirror image, base attached to the drone, where the gimbal can now look straight up, but would have a hard time with looking down as it's restricted. I kinda feel like it's a flaw it can't look straight up and straight down. I was thinking adding this to a 7"..... but placement and the fact the up tilt is crappy, if reversed and put on top you could never use it to look down. Have 2 operators, without massive dslr 12s 8 bladed machines lol.
@@djhex I explained it pretty clearly in the video. Yes you can use it inverted and there is an option in the software for that. However yes there is a physical limitation on the Pitch movement and as such you will have limited downward movement in the inverted mode.
@@dr0n3droid It's been that long since the first naza-m components... wow. I had my first hexacopter with that dji kit on it back in 2016, still got a video of it up too under 'Spirodash F560.'
@@MadRC Yes, this is literally a dream come true (O3 + and this gimbal) for every cheap RCGroup 'build your own camera drone' thread from that era. Stellar video link + camera + gimbal all in one...
all of you remember that the first decent gimbals where made with servos? then came off Alexmoss with the brushless gimbals... we were happy and we don´t know it. golden age.
finally, been waiting for years for something smaller and lighter, i think they should have put the board behind the camera to mount in a 7inch frame with the camera out the front, more like what is on top a handheld gimbal, but now i want to build a 10 inch with this, lol, like i will ever use it.... my 7 inch never gets used as it is
