Glad you liked the review! I changed everything to be optimized for low light and there was still some grain and blur from the low shutter speed to the footage.
You can buy the same mount for gopro (unofficial ofc), though it does not help with the vertical video. Though due time they will have cage's with those. The superwide view of Action 4 is impressive, for gopro you need Lens mod 2.0 and it distorts the image more than Action 4.
thing is you can just use 4:3 since the lens is wider than GoPro Hero11, it's enough for switching from landscape to vertical video. also for advance creator if you turn off rocksteady it will still record the gyro data so you can use it on 3rd party software that corrects your video stabilization, which is pretty nice for creators who cannot decide when shooting on the spot
I recorded at night without any lenses on, I unscrewed the lens, and at 24 fps 4K resolution. I could have boosted up the exposure in post, but I thought that would defeat the point. Plus there's a ton of noise if I try to boost brightness in post, I just tried it!
It seemed pretty solid when I used it and I couldn’t shake it off. I feel like if you’re jumping into water you’re fine but if you smash the camera on the ground from very high up it may pop off the magnetic mount
0:14 do you know gopro hero 11 has almost square sensor like hero 12 ? :D IBIS is not EIS ! IBIS is sensor stabilization, it is HUGE difference. 1:47 any of these, gopro use gyro compasate exposure, so when action is agresive gopro use higher iso and shutter speed to have better stabilized video.
