Thanks for the comparison, I'm currently contemplating between these 2 for vlogging cameras as well as general use. This will be quite handy for me to check as a reference when I do make my decision.
Hi, I'm really glad you like it. I hope it helps you make a decision on what you want. And it all depends on what you're gonna do with the camera. As an allround camera action 4 works really well, for outdoor use in all weather conditions. Zv1 has better image quality, especially in low light. But not the best stabilization. Thanks for watching 😀
honestly they both look great! at times the the zv-1 had a blown out background (which can be fixed with a nd-filter). the crane m3 seems perfect for the zv-1. If you want compact then the action 4 would be a choice. but if someone wants to learn about videography without paying too much, then the zv-1 is good because it has manual settings.
Thanks for watching Tone, I agree. I did miss something with the setting in the zv1. I'm still learning it, and I'm not that good with it. It's a cheap alternative for people that don't wanna pay too much. The image quality is really good. Have a fantastic day my friend 😀
I also have the zv-1 in combination with the ZHIYUN Crane M3 and I love it! Image quality, natural colors and good sound for a low price. just perfect for me. Of course, the Osmo 4 also does a very good job. The advantage is that it is small and light. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
It depends on what you already have. If you have a ZV1, then get a gimbal and wide lens. If not, I'd think about more affordable options: If you have a decent iPhone, then it is almost as good, for example. Or go the easiest route with the DJI Action 4/ pocket 2, or GoPro 10/11/12. They are all good. Sometimes there are good deals.
I would go for the Action 4 and put a "dead cat" on the microphone for killing the wind noise. Think the Action 4 is producing a good picture quality, have great stabilizing, and the small size makes it easy to carry with you at all times.
ZV1 has far superior audio, image quality, colour science. Gimbal is excellent. Fov is limited though. The Action 4 looks and sounds unnatural like a typical Action camera does. This probably isn't so noticeable when used alone. In fact what I've seen of the Action 4 footage is impressive. Maybe it's to do with colour profile or grading, as well as frame position and lens selection. Standard is usually wide enough. Actually the Go Pro seems to have the best FOV balance imo. Btw: As excellent as that Crane M3 gimbal is,it costs like £270 or similar. That is very expensive. The Hero 10 now costs £249. This is probably the best priced decent enough Action Camera with excellent Stabilization. The only problem with a go pro is external microphone needs the overpriced media mod.🥴 Maybe you could compare the 12 to your old 10? Cheers
@@EspenJohan I was watching on my smartphone. Apparently if you reduce the sharpening and noise filter, the image is more natural looking like the ZV1 is👍
I can't see that it's out of focus, the reason could be that I cranked up the aperture. So that it didn't blur the background so much. Thanks for watching 👍
However if you want to snap photos with long ranger range, at tourist attractions or events, it's less awkward to pull out a point and shoot than vlogging in public.
color science on dji cameras is horrible. that green shift is hard to watch. it's like the old sony color science. it's nowhere near a gopro in terms of colors and detail
