Great video Bill. A brilliant review and overview of this product. I was waiting for a video like this. It would be nice to see if you can take some sample walking footage to show how stable this is. Great stuff keep up the brilliant work.
That's great Gary, hopefully that was helpful. It is really great. The regular OSMO now with the extended handle or the X-axis adapter would give it enough distance to focus on yourself as well.
That is a very expensive rig for the reasons you provided on why you switched from the x3. You can actually buy a hot shoe adapter that you can mount on the cellphone holder and attach any mic you want and the sound of the fan will no longer be an issue. For selfie mode, I don't think it is such a big deal unless you intend to do a large amount of selfie footage. Although I believe the X5 is all around much better in terms of picture quality for great cinematic footage.
The audio wasn't the reason. I went without an Osmo after it first came out largely because of the minimum focus distance didn't fit my use case. I then bought an inspire pro, and since I have an x5 it was just the handle kit and adapter to have an Osmo pro during times I am not using the inspire.
Having the inspire totally changed the whole picture then as I can see how you can maximize the use of your x5. I have a question though, would you know if the X5 drains significantly more battery on the Osmo or is it just about the same with the X3?
Thanks Bill, this will help me make an informed decision on buying the dji pro vs regular. I browsed your videos looking for a followup review on the pro with sample footages but I cant seem to find them. Did you make a subsequent video on the osmo pro?
I'm looking at which DJI drone to buy for my upcoming business in aerial photography. I can get a really good deal on the inspire 1 pro with the x5 along with a bunch of batteries, or the phantom 4 pro for a similar price. I am aware of basically all the specs, but I need a personal opinion with someone who has both. if you had to choose between the p4pro and inspire 1 pro w x5, for your business (theoretically) what would you choose. Which yields a better photo quality, it's hard to tell on RU-vid because of the compression crap. Also showing up to businesses with the inspire 1 I feel like would show you are down to do business rather than just the p4pro which seems too far on the consumer side of things, and doesn't show professional work. Is the p4pro optimal for business with all of its neat features it can do, along with the crazy obstacle avoidance?
Hi Bill... i'm Daniel from Montréal, french speaking it will be obvious in my writing... Question : i've been looking all the videos about the osmo pro X5, and yours is the most complete and accurate, do you find this product excellent ? Or is there a dark side to it...? Thanks D
Awesome channel Bill! Great to see your subscriptions grow week on week. Fantastic product btw, the footage that you can get with this is beautiful. I have something similar but it is a wearable gimbal that uses gopro style mounting system, its called the FY WG wearable 3 axis gimbal (check out my channel for some vids if you like). Particularly useful for me as I use it for stable onboard footage for my RC cars.
I wouldn't say they never will but If it does I would expect it to much. Likely leave the price at that level so they have it at that level and keep upgrading.
+T -HOOT Ohhh yeah I have the car mount and the z-axis I know the car mount still will hold purpose. but will the z work and would you recommend trying the car? I'm nervous as it is now ha Check out my latest music video using the p3p and osmo called mind games!
