Glenn Charles right on, they are still my most commonly used lights, bulletproof, incredibly versatile and small / light to travel with . You really can’t go wrong
As with so many photo accessory components, especially lighting, the pricing is way out of whack with the value, and the great flexibility and portability gained by mounting LED's onto fabric is somewhat nullified with the bulk and weight of separate dimmer and power supplies, and possibly the hard frames if you go that route. Total it all up and you're really toting something more than traditional LED 300 or 600 panels with umbrellas or collapsible modifiers. Intriguing, but I'll stick with my much lower cost Yongnuo LEDs for now. Great demo, though, Bill - Thanks!
Different use cases really - Cost wise (and I get, these are "cheap" they are inexpensive compared to MANY other LED's with this much power). Dimmers really don't take much room, the frames break down (you don't need them, they work great for me). I can take three of these, roll them up, put all the dimmers inside that roll and I am good to go. I know they are going to work everytime, and the flexibility is great. But they need to fit your use case, for me I need to take them everywhere, best option and the light is great. Thanks for the feedback!
Hey CM - you can get directly from Samy's camera (not an affiliate link, I get nothing from this link) here: www.samys.com/p/Misc.-Studio-Accessories/7411-N/Flex-X-Bracket-Mount-for-Flex-1x1-ft.-Mat/184416.html?origin=product-search&gclid=CjwKEAjwm7jKBRDE2_H_t8DVxzISJACwS9WbQg-ZXNNIJm0fmve5E4D75M2VzJZaz4bEFmtFHA8kLRoCS7Xw_wcB
Hi Henry - I am guessing you mean for color or whatever to look right? No changes, you shoot like you would any continuous light, you will just want to make sure you white balance is set correctly for your environment. In the case of in my garage, where I am only using Flex's and no other mixed lighting I set my white balance to 5600K - Is this what you mean?
