I watch lots of reviews and tech videos and the flow of this video is perfect. Meaning all the right information without even thinking about skipping through the video. Awesome video !!!
I appreciate the continuation of exploring this product in depth and the evaluation you provide at the end of your videos. Great work and is much appreciated from a potential buyer.
For such an in-depth review of a none DSLR camera in low light this video is amazing, and the clips on the google drive are icing on the cake. Thank you great work.
It's better not to ramp up ISO to 6400, because the shadows get all noisy. Also worth considering is to use a slower shutter rate, taking advantage of the gimbal stabilization to get even more light.
How is it possible that I'm getting worse noise at 200 ISO than you're getting at 3200? Have you applied noise reduction? Also there's a weird ring effects on the image when filming in low light. I'm thinking I might have a dud
Thanks. We are all very pampered and spoiled. Somewhere we hear something about lower technological possibilities and we are already afraid that we will not keep up with the others. Fear, fear, just fear. And then we chase the latest technology, while someone who has a talent for good photography will take it with an old film camera. Your test helped me make a decision, I'm not afraid of low light anymore. I have another fear - so far I have processed videos in Full HD, and when using three video tracks on top of each other, the computer crashed. Now I'm afraid I won't be able to handle 4K on my laptop.
I know this comment was 9 months ago but you should probably shoot 24 or 30fps at night anyway for better low light performance. It looks like the only difference between "Battery Saver" and "High Quality" is that high quality adds noise reduction in camera. Provided you are willing to add noise reduction in post, the battery saver option will probably be no different.
Thanks a lot Billy for upload pics and videos to dropbox, i was already practicing in mimo app and Lightroom with your files 😅 cheers from Medellin, Colombia 🇨🇴
Did you shoot any night time video and auto? I'm curious what it would look like at a lower shutter speed. Since there wasn't a lot of motion, I don't feel really locked to the 'double frame rate' rule of thumb.
Thank you for this review. Can you use the High Quality mode when shooting 4K 60fps? On my older OSMO pocket the best quality I get when I shoot in DCinelike, 60 or 50 fps, 1/60 shutter, and ISO 200. Then in post I add some light, and denoise with the Neat Video. It is important to use DCinelike because we want to compress the bright lights.
I’m not sure why, but I shot some footage in NYC the other night with the exact same settings that you used and the footage came out really grainy. Any thoughts? Battery save mode was turned off. Thank you!!
On your phone it is not all that visible but filming with 1600 iso there is far too much noise when you view it on a larger screen. Even with 100 ISO, you can see noise when filming where there is less light.
Hey man, im sorry before, if my comment is irrelevant to this video Im about to buy mavic air 2. I've seen your videos about it, but i have some questions, i hope you have time to answer this, because your answer will affects my decision to buy mavic air 2 (forgive me if my questions kinda long and my grammar is bad) When flying mavic air 2, did we always have to point the antenna to the drone ? Like, it has occusync 2.0 right ? So there should be no problem about the signal, (because occusync is unlike the wifi transmission drone which always depend with the signal between remote and drone, so we should always point it to the drone) right ? Or its not that simple ? Lets just say, if there's 4 scenario : 1.If i flying it while facing backward with my remote against the drone 2.If i flying it outside, but the drone through tall buildings, and i flying the drone around that tall building until the connection between the drone and remote is blocked by those building 3.If i flying my drone when im at forest (full of trees) so the signal between remote and drone will have so much interference by the trees 4.If i am inside my bedroom or my car while my drone is outside, where signal between drone and remote will completely blocked by thick wall or anything With those 4 each screnario, can i still control it until long range (lets just say more than 1 km) can i still do that ? Or if i did that the signal will get interference or lost instantly ? Did you ever did that kind of test ? This my other question is kinda had the same concept. Based on your experiences after flying your mavic air 2 so far, did you ever encounter signal interference ? If yes, is it happen often or rarely ? And at what scenario that makes you get signal interference ? Thanks if you want to take your time to read my comment, id really appreciate that ! 🙏
I’m trying to decide between the pocket 2 and a new iPhone (12 mini) for indoor videos of dance. I have the DJI om4 but find it bulky. Any thoughts or recommendations?
Good stuff man...I had decided to not upgrade my 1 to a 2 after the iphone 12 pro max dropped recently. This is give me second thoughts on that decision.
Do you shoot and upload a lot of videos in 4k to RU-vid? Can you direct me to any good resources for shooting, storage and preparing 4k videos for RU-vid? It takes up so much storage. Any help would be appreciated.
hello, can you give some advice on why my video had too much noise when i copied your settings and shot at night? can you give a thing or two that I need to check? thanks and great video btw!
I am seriously thinking in buying one as a b or c cam for my wedding videos, mostly for decoration shots. I guess it would be useful because in weddings we are always in a Hurry and gimball calibration takes time.
Brilliant video, at work now on my laptop, when home really looking forward to downloading the files to see on my desktop, I do believe I am going to make my wife happy after watching this, I was going to buy ( or try to buy, as there is no stock anywhere) a Canon R6 , but you have made me decide to get the pocket 2 , and have a play with that, and get the R6 after christmas when hopefully there will be stock, so thats £400 vs £2700 :-)
Thank you, looks really good to be honest. Low light performance was only reason I returned Pocket 1. Any chance you could link original files, I don't trust youtube compression :-)
ive watched 20 reviews on the pocket 2 but only 3 on the zoom of this little camera,i think there should be more reviews on the zoom you will be surpised how many people will use it and im certainly going to be one of them.
Thank you so much for the low light review, I really appreciate it :) Just one question, Pocket 1 was known to introduce a lot of grain and noise in D Cinelike picture profile when shooting in low light. Does Pocket 2 has the same issue? Would appreciate even more if you could make a comparison video of low light Normal picture profile vs the same ISO settings in D Cinelike. Thank you :)
@@billykyle its same like Oslo pocket 1 or better or worst to be honest I saw many reviews and about the wireless connectivity they mentioned its worst what is your thought on this ?
