I also loved how versatile the action 4 is but i ended up getting rid of it in favour of the low light performance on the P3. That being said, I will most likely pick up the A5 when it comes out as I hear they will have the same lens as the P3. Btw- You’re doing great on camera! Keep up the great work

I've wanted to buy the Action 4 especially since I feel it's so much better than the Action3, which I sold and went with the GoPro Hero 11. But, the GoPro 11 still works great so I can't justify another acrtion cam purchase. hahaha. Great video Jo!

You’re gonna make me wanna buy another camera 😂 I already got the Osmo pocket 3 because you convinced me, hihi. I used it for my Ålesund- Geiranger trip. It was amazing , the most epic trip I ever did in my life, and the Pocket 3 really overdelivered. If I shoot at wide angle I cannot tell the difference between my mirrorless and the Osmo. I am happy with my purchase. Took me a month to edit the video, though.
I've been following you since we both took the Casey Neistat course at the same time and I love your style. It's so natural and is perfect for the "average joe" as you show us that it's possible to make great videos without having to copy the style of Casey or Peter. I enjoy both your camera vids and your vlog vids so just do what you enjoy man, don't worry about views. Your subscriber base should be way higher by now anyway but it will come. Ps. Mrs Jo's Talking, please let Jo buy more camera gear, it's still a healthy hobby for now, it's cheaper than golf and we'll let you know if becomes too much of an addiction for him ;-)
Now that the Action 5 is out, which one would you suggest between the Action 5 and the Pocket 3? I am planning to get one for a trip to Thailand. FYI I am a complete noob with this stuff.
I am expecting my action 5 today! Depends on whether or not you will be going into the water in Thailand. If you will be the action 5 is the better choice. Also love how the DJI mic 2 connects so nicely with it. If it’s just going to be city stuff then the pocket 3 has better image quality.

Seeing them side-by-side is great! What sticks out to me is how the background is blurred a bit more with the Pocket 3. I like that. It's too bad that the Pocket 3 isn’t more durable or splashproof. I have the Osmo Action 4 and love it for motovlogging. I'm still sticking with the ZV-1 for off-the-bike vlogging… for now! 🤔
I think the Action 4 is the perfect camera for what you're doing, and the ZV1 works great for you too, Did you end up getting a mic that you can connect with the Action 4? That is my favorite part of the camera
@@jostalking I have the DJI Mic 1, so I have to attach the receiver to the side of the action 4. It stays in place at 80 mph! 😬 The only bummer to that is that the camera is no longer waterproof with the side door off. I have one mic in my helmet with the other one in my backpack to pick up the bike sounds.
I regret i bought Action 4 right before they launched Pocket 3.I don’t like the picture.Stabilization is great though but the pic is too dark,no focus,no blur,no tracking,no motion hyper lapse.No doubt buy Pocket 3,you won’t regret like me
Yeah I like the pocket 3 a lot, I feel like every time I do a comparison it should be with the Pocket 3, I think I am going to do a comparison with the Pocket 3 and the DJI Action 5!

Lol!!! Why are we all so scared of our wives? I’m terrified of mine. Hate to tell you, but the action 5 comes out on Sept 19th. Here’s your alibi, tell her that you are a secret agent and that in order to save the world you need a camera that has active tracking. Thanks for watching my friend.
I will give you an advice to make your wife agree on all your purchases. I usually first buy something for her, then I buy something for me :) She won't complain!
Definitely earned by sub 👌🏻 great video and comparison! I prefer the pocket 3 and will be saving it up for it. hopefully there won’t be a pocket 4 otherwise i might need to get that instead but then again if a 4 ever comes up, i can always get the 3 at a lower price 😂
@@jostalking You know what bothers me? I’m hands down when it comes to the Pocket 3 and I’ve been using it since it came out. Not sure if it’s just my eyes. The image looks artificial. Your thoughts?
@@siruloI love the pocket 3 too, but on this shoot I did notice that the pocket 3 did not handle green that well. It doesn’t look that great. I shot in auto, and it was overexposed at times and I had to bring down the highlights, it gave me this look which I did not like. I was wondering if I had done something wrong. I noticed a few other people who shot with trees behind them, had a similar to look in other people’s videos.
Do you ever use them side by side like I did? They pair pretty nicely as an A and B cam, that was one thing I learned after doing this video. Appreciate you commenting and watching!
@@jostalkingyes I have. I’m putting together a family beach video. Action 4 for the wet, pocket 3 for the sitting around shots. D log on both has been an absolute breeze to learn how to color grade on.
Hey thanks for this comment, because I have always liked the colors of the pocket 3, but for some reason on this shoot, which I left in Auto, the colors don't look great. I was actually trying to figure out if I had made any mistakes when shooting, Every time I have shot with the Pocket 3 it has come out so great, but this time I wasn't happy with the colors at all - think I did something wrong?
@@ProfKlaus Not at all mate,sorry,i just think the opposite,Action 4 is too dark,no focus,no blur,when you crop it looks cleaner even with the same ratio like Action.
