I have dji pocket 2 and the issue I always have is how to mount it fast if i need to ride my e-scooter to shoot some great videos. The Feiyu magnetic option will work great for me. It’s obvious audio and total camera resolution that DJi is better. But, I feel there’s more flexibility on Feiyu. Thanks for this great video!
Thanks for the review! I've noticed that the DJI Pocket 3 provides colors that are closer to natural or akin to a Sony ZV-1 camera, while the Feiyu Pocket 3 exhibits distinct color characteristics common in other action cameras. Just my observation, and I hope it helps without causing any offense!
I stay away from feyiu since their gimbal AK2000. It was horrible, constant issues with horizon and just general jerkiness. I see they still havent corrected it all those years later. Also inside there are actual wires (very thin) which twist together with the motors and they break over time. In addition feyiu support is useless and completely ignored many bugs in their software I had actually pointed out. Mind you it was a premium product, this is not. I recently bought dji pocket 3 and Im really happy with it. They already did a firmware update adding even more features.
Interesting comparison. For me, this shows me that each on their own is decent and not to rush out and buy the 'new, latest and greatest announcement'. I've done that more than a few times, including here where I purchased the DJI Pocket 3. Still learning how to use it but hoping I use it more than other video cameras I've purchased in the past.
I have the DJI Pocket 3 (and 1 and 2) but, I may buy the Feiyu just because of the magnet mount. Putting it on the top of my truck might be interesting. Regarding video quality, the DJI Pocket 3 is the winner.
The Feiyu has a great color & image during the daylight & great wide angle, the DJI is better in lowlight and at night recording! The Feiyu is worth the price...
To me out of box, the Feiyu shows where you are walking while the DJI just shows yr face very little of background. The DJI certainly need the wide angle adapter which adds to the cost. Next the 1" sensor just makes the dark shadow dissapear which is not the natural lighting. If you're walking down a dark alley, you want yr viewers to feel similar with you how dark & scarry it is not everything brighten up with the DJI..Next the DJI warm color just makes yr face look redish while the Feiyu is more white balanced. To me yr skin tone looks more natural than DJI reddish unless of cause you're blushing after several drinks. Not sure if the white balance or color can be adjusted for the DJI to be more neutral instead of warm from the unit itself. Now if you compare the DJI with cheaper Sony ZV-1F also with 1" sensor that would be great !
Thx for this interesting feedback...for me the blurry background is interesting otherwise i can use an action camera...but the feiyu is very powerful though
I film mostly in the day so don't need night video plus I noticed the dji only focuses on your face and everything else in the background is a blur whereas the feiyutech has everything in focus, even the background
Thx for the comment, personally i like when it focuses on the face because it is not an action camera..my own opinion but yeah that might not be interesting for everyone of course
Just an option but For people on a budget the osmo pocket 2 has a bigger sensor 1/1.7" than the feiyu and its around $50 less than the feiyu @ $279 and its great.
Having Log, 20mm focal length, 130 bit and the 120p at 4k is already worth the extra $100 on the DJI. The Feiyu seems to skip more when turning the camera.
Thanks for your video. I'm totally ignorant about video editing, image editing and so on. The sound record on the Feiyu is awfull. By night the DJI looks better but I wonder if video editing could improve the video from the FEIYU video by night. The detachable camera from FEIYU is amazing.
Good and honest comparison sir. I am from India I am a beginner and want to record as a personal interest not for vlogging. Pls suggest which one to buy. Cost is not an issue.
Thx for the comment. If cost is not an issue, go with pocket 3 creator combo (use my aff link hehehe) And get action 4 so you can use it magnetically on the car 🤷♂️
It is in the description Get DJI Pocket 3 : click.dji.com/AJzuPk69h10TzUTGk8hD4Q?pm=link Get DJI Action 4 : click.dji.com/AM2p7AHPKJ8SnTZpUckTkw?pm=link
@@photorabz I like blurry background for example in your room but when you are walking around outside if you pass some people then they will look blurry. but you might want to see them clearly, I was going to get the dji but I think it should look a bit dark if it is actually dark and for the difference in price I don't think the dji was actually worth more money. For example, which one had more accurate colors when looking at the color of your hoodie and jacket?
Hi there, Thank you for the sharing. I have a question, how do you transfer all videos to your phone? Usually you record from your phone and upload directly to social media. But how you do it from this gadget ? Sorry for tuis stupid question.
Hello Thanks for the comment. There is no stupid question at all. Dji and feiyu have their own app where we can view what's recorded on the cameras and download them to the phone. Or we can copy the sd card on a computer then transfer the files to a phone
Half the price of the DJI... I got one that i've hardly used from their kickstarter. The DJI beats it hands down in audio and low light. I've just updated the firmware since I had the old firmware which has fixed some issues off the bat. I'm hoping it will also improve noise in well lit shots.
Allot of people say dji is way better but as a formfactor the feiyu is way more pocket and cool to put on stuff. But the image and sound is indeed better..they both have a different purpose so there is no copy in my opinion
Can any of these pocket camera's be used also for youtube streaming indoors with a computer as well besides being used out doors on a budget? Some popular webcams seem to ramp up on costs for example the Insta360 Link or Osbot Tiny 2. Just wondering if I can start out with one all in one camera to handle everything?
@@photorabzbut rather pay for what you truly want even as a beginner then have to pay twice when you advance. Everything can be researched or simply play around with all the setting till you get it how you want. Your video made it super convincing. I want mine for my jiu jitsu vlogs. So for sure going for DJI.
Whether you want a Feiyu Pocket 3 or the DJI Pocket 3 is down to compromise. The Feiyu Pocket 3 will save you a couple of hundred bucks but you will have to live with poorer low light, poorer image quality, and a teeny-weeny mic. The 1" CMOS sensor obviously makes the real difference. There is only one distinct advantage to buying the Feiyu in that it can be detached from the remote and can be attached to a car's body. It may interest some. I think the Feiyu is not a bad camera but if the extra couple of hundred dollars is not an issue, then the DJI wins hands down.
When did Feiyu's pocket 3 come out? I think it has been out a bit longer than the OP3. We should be seeing a Feiyu Pocket 4 soon. It should be a good competitior for the OP3.
@@photorabz ah, I thought it had been out a bit longer. Feiyu is good at updating their products, so maybe we will see a new one this coming summer. Feiyu puts up a good fight in this video, but the OP3 just has too much upgraded tech for Feiyu to beat it. I think the Feiyu Pocket 4 will be very competitive to the OP3. Hopefully they can keep their price much lower than DJI. Thanks for making this video. I just ordered the OP3 last week, but it's out of stock til mid-January. I considered the Feiyu Pocket too, but I think the OP3 is just a few steps ahead at this point. . . still, for the lower price, it's a very good alternative to the DJI OP3. Thanks again!
I just bought the DJI pocket 3 but its so annoying with the scanning of the QR code, it forces you to connect to the app... but than I looked into it and seems that it's not possible to turn off the WIfi/bluetooth manually... i'm sensitive to wireless signals and really want to be able to turn it off unless needed....what do I do, this is a party breaker for me man
Find die Qualität gar nicht schlecht im Gegenteil dji sieht aus im dunklen als wäre ein warmes Licht drüber. Was das andere eben natürlicher macht wie man wirklich aussieht
One should always prefer the original to the copy! :) The incredible creator combo with the intergrated microphone by DJI is killing the dual! But Feiyu is pretty good I'm surprised! Thanks for this video :)
I use Feiyu pocket 3 camera to record my cycling. but last year, The gimbal function was broken, and I contacted Feiyu, but they only told me what to do, such as device initialization, calibration, and update. they are not working and They only responded that the stabilization function weakens after 1 hour, after that no action is taken. So I ordered Osmo Pocket 3. dont buy feiyu's
That's true...but the feiyu is not that bad neither.. and that's the point i mentionned in my video, if we have the budget then dji is better but if not, feiyu can do the job and we can start a vlog journey with it
@@photorabz My 43" Philips 4K monitors have been professionally calibrated to display the true color of any photo or video. BTW, almost all the DJI Pocket 3 reviewing video showed the similar same dark blue sky color as your video. Poacket 1 works better in AWB.
@@photorabz The manual white balance system in DJI all products can manually adjust the color temperature ONLY! You can not adjust the color tone value at all. As the results, its manual white balance is totally useless as it would produce wrong color video or photo no matter how you adjust the color temperature values.
Well i am not wasting your time. Whats wrong if i am introducing myself ? How i can start without that? Whats wrong in sharing my profiles and affiliate links ? Hope you enjoyed the content
I’m actually looking forward to buy one of these but I don’t know if I should buy this pocket three or the Insta 360 link, and i might be using it to create content
I have a Feiyutech gimbal. It is really good. But I had the Pocket 2, I have several DJI drones, in the Pocket 3 really fits into that system well. I just got my Creator Combo, it is amazing!
@@michaelgilbert4005 hey... Come on... There is no competition without copying and improving. ALL brands do this, including Sony, Apple, Samsung, GoPro, Insta360, and DJI. I respect Feiyu for trying to advance in the market. They aim people with low budget. You know this... And yet they came up with innovation!
