I've tried multiple times to get my camera balanced and when I turn on the Ronin RS2 it starts smashing my camera around.... Anyone else having this problem and know how to fix it? Please let me know!
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed. I was planning to use it on two shoots that month, but ended up having to send back to get a replacement. DJI support is amazing though and they were really helpful.
So funny ive got mime boxed up ready for tge return. DJI sucks best of luck getting that issues fixed. I got the feiyutech ak200s and its a DREAM COME TRUE. I highly suggest switching to Feiyutech. They are tge easiest to use, 1/2 the weight of the RSC2 and ive yet to have any issues. + 8-12hr battery life
Interesting, that sound like a good tool! I had the Ronin S and like the handles on the Ronins and like the idea of the tilta eco system coming out soon. I just got my RS2 replacement and we'll see how it goes. These are tools, so whatever helps us get the job done and tell a great story is key.
Well, the Ronins usually just turn on and then you can go into settings to collaborate. But, it was going crazy every time I turned it on. So ended up sending it back and getting a replacement.
Yes, I hope yours works! I got the protection plan too. I just hope they don't count sending me a new gimbal for the non-working unit against my replacements.
Are you having camera twist issues on that upper quick release? The single pin seems to be a issue...When using a cine cam, once you lock it into place on the lower the screw comes lose and then so does the camera throwing it off balance. This has been my issues with my e2f6 and the ronin rs2
I will test it out and see. I just got the replacement in. I do remember not being able to get two screws in. I hope smallrig or tilta come out with a better mounting plate.
@@dreamwildmedia Yes, I’ve been looking for the tilta option but do have the small rig extended plate currently on route to me, should fix the issue, hard to believe this slipped past dji’s quality control unknowingly when they conveniently had 3rd party approved solutions.
Lol...yeah, I got a replacement, and recently was having issues with my RS3 after a year and got it replaced as well. DJI support is amazing and I highly recommend getting the protection plan with it as well if you use it a lot.
Calibrate you’re gimbal, I had the same problem but I fixed it by connecting the gimbal to my iPhone and updating software via DJI application also calibrating weight.
That's good to know! I ended up sending it back to DJI and they sent me a new unit. But, it could have been as simple as updating the software. The problem I had was that it wouldn't even connect to my phone. But, I'm glad your unit was easy to fix! I was really disappointed that it didn't work and missed using it on two film projects. But, glad to have a working unit now! Really looking forward to the Tilta eco system around the RS 2!
Is the gimble reset back to its "home position" if you will? My friend had the same problem and it was because his camera was put on whilst the gimble axis was off
I'm not sure...I tried multiple things and it always would go crazy after I turned it on. I ended up sending it back and getting a replacement that works well with the bmpcc6k.
I don't think so, I didn't have the tracking setup yet and it smashed around like that every time I turned it on. I ended up sending it back and getting a replacement.
Bummer! Yeah, I hope it's just a QA mess up and that they resolve this from happening again. I just got my replacement in and look forward to testing it.
I asked a friend who also had an RS2 for help and we both couldn't figure it out. I ended up contacting DJI support and getting a replacement. The replacement work amazing. I guess there's just some bad units that get out. DJI support is really good though. I'd contact them as soon as possible.
Yeah, the balancing takes time to learn... I actually barely used my RS2...but heavily used my Ronin S before it and have used the RS3 a lot after it. I'd recommend focusing on to balance each section with the others locked, that seemed to help me.
Yes, I've seen a lot of people using them. I'm planning to go meet with someone who has one in town to see if they can help me figure it out or I'll just send it back and hope the second DJI RS2 is working.
@@dreamwildmedia yes brother go for it, I am sure it will work, and if doesn’t gimbal this model has some issue if you have to change it all the best man
I had same problem with a re assembled ronin s. One motor is attached in wrong direction. One by one disassemble the arms and reattach the motors with 90° difference. Start with the tilt motor, if not working try the roll motor.
Interesting. I had a Ronin S that stopped working too. I haven't gotten it fixed yet. Just upgraded to the RS2 which I did end up sending back to DJI and getting a replacement that works great.
It wouldn't connect via bluetooth, so I couldn't do much. I didn't try to connect directly through a computer... I ended up sending it back and getting a replacement. DJI support is really good and they were very helpful.
@@dreamwildmedia yeah I thought that might be the case, something was clearly VERY wrong so I would've hoped they took it back without any issues and either fixed or replaced it. I have the original SC rn and I love the thing.
Yeah, I guess bad units just get sent out here and there. DJI support is really good though. I had the Ronin S and drove it into the ground. They definitely make great gimbals.
Well, I've balanced gimbals for the past two years and I'm pretty sure it was balanced...but, who knows. I got a replacement that is working great with the bmpcc6k. So, I guess the story ends well. 😉
I also have ronin-s gimbal with which I used to have this type of problem. This is a useless product and I called the help of the company worker several times to ask for help from where I did not get any good answer so I do not use ronin gimbal. Recommend to
Yeah, my Ronin S also had problems after about a year of use. I've heard of others having to send in theirs to get fixed as well. They were helpful with the RS2 and I got a replacement that works amazing.
Yea I let Ronin go! I actually have Moza Air 2S now and it’s better then my Ronin S for my Pocket 4k. I’ve seen other videos like this, so the RS2 isn’t better for heavier setups like mine.
Yeah, it was heartbreaking. I was really wanting to use it one two up coming shoots that week...but, DJI support is great and I got a replacement that works well with the bmpcc6k.
