my guess is that they will drop a Transmission 2 soon that will support 4K transmission. the original TX and RX system is over a year old now (i think almost two years even) and dropping a "budget" option with the (almost) same specs screams "we got sth comin yall" hahahahah
What do you think about using the transmitter standalone with wifi to phone/tablet when recording an interview. I think the fan is quite loud in normal operation and when lowered down the transmitter get very hot. Do you think the fan is noticeable on the recording when filming interviews?
I think the Hollyland 4k is great as well but what I like about the SDR is the integration with Ronin Gimbals. I think the raven eye was quite limited and this is an improvement for that.
If you don't need to transmit 4k, just go for the DJI SDR. The range, latetncy and also image quality is much better. Note that DJI SDR doesn't have HDMI loop out.
does anyone know if the SDR Transmission can still cast to the High Brightness Monitor or is this a COMPLETELY different system? cause I really like the smaller footprint of the new transmitters but sometimes I need a wireless monitor that just *works* without having to add an SDR receiver, connect it with a cable and get another monitor that needs ANOTHER battery, etc. bla bla bla
How is Sony camera control possible ,is it same like the raveneye with android app (tablet or phone ) or with both units there is no need for android app just monitor ?
What about using this Dji SDR with the Ronin s3 Pro instead of the Raven Eye, can you do tracking with this on the gimbal? If so, that would be awesome…
How is this practical if it removes functionality of the gimbal?? ActiveTrack is not supported??... DJI: "When connected with devices such as RS 4 Pro, RS 4, and RS 3 Pro, DJI SDR Transmission can be powered through the gimbal and enables Force Mobile, virtual joystick, gimbal recentering, and more functions. Please note that when the DJI SDR Transmission Transmitter is connected to a stabilizer, the multi-camera control cable from the stabilizer's combo must be used, and ActiveTrack will not be available. Additionally, when the DJI SDR Transmission Transmitter is connected to a stabilizer via the adapter plate, a native vertical shooting setup is not supported."
