Well done John. 👏 brought back a few memories mate. We used to walk ( from our lady's school) up slater Street past St hildas mission, on to Knutsford Road, and on to Victoria Park 😀 👍👍
Thanks for your comment and glad you enjoy my videos. I am currently very busy looking after grand children, but as soon as I am able to get out and about again - DJJohnny will be back! So watch this space! 😀😀
Thanks Nik! Will do my best. Winter will be here soon, so not sure how much more I can do before the weather closes in on us! But will do my best, as soon as I get a minute in my busy days! Have a great evening! 😀😀😀
Hi Johnny...great to see you adain! I lived at 84 st mary st til i was 7. My sister lives just before maple grove and my mum literally just bought a house in slater st! My Stepmum lives on frederick st, just over the canal. Never heard of the brickworks before. Maybe that filled in arch i was asking about at the end of park ave was to give rail access to the for the brickworks to the distillery sidings and the mineral railway? Thanks again. Best wishes and take care
Thanks Jimmy! Much appreciated! Wonder if the arch was something to do with the tram system of the brick works? You might be right! Hope you have a great day! Take care! 😀😀😀
What a waste the co-op dairy is. When i was a kid milk was delivered in recyclable bottles by rechargable electric vehicles which also took the empties away for recycling. And we are supposed to making progress!!!
hi jimmy, you will be pleased to hear that milk in recyclable glass bottles still exists, I am a milkman in poynton, cheshire and we have our own cows and from them produce our own milk which I then deliver to doorsteps three day per week, there are more companies starting to do this now in many areas and I bet warrington has a few.
@@NikEastwood161 great stuff. What's a great pity is that the whole infrastructure for electric rechargeable vehicles was there 50 years ago and it's all gone now. Recyclable bottles are great delivered on electric vehicles is better.
