So you didn't fancy flying the zone inside the structure of the bridge? Naah... I wouldn't have either! Great video - love seeing some of NW England's rich industrial history. Subscribed!

at the 12 arches bridge after eastford road, you can get into & under were the trains pass over you, inside the true derbyshire blue brick construction, i grow up playing on them bridges, round lower walton. its hard to get to them now, but no one can stop me or my old skool exploring of old kid places. hehe.
Hello Eddiek, Thanks very much! I had Caa/Nats open clearance for 400ft/120M on the route up and down the MAN Ship Canal and the Trackbed. From memory the footage shown was shot between 120-180ft/35-45 meters as the drone used there has fixed optical. This was the drone that crashed two sorties after this with an IMU fault. Incidentally the DJI warranty replacement arrived today :)
That type of rail expansion joint is normally used with continuous welded rails with such an expansion joint every 600 feet or so, which is ten 60 foot rails welded together, and that type of joint can only be used in one direction.
Have you not done a video on the other one a bit up the canal ,Cadishead viaduct that went to Skelton to ,very interesting old line ,some of Partington station is still there .
@@ALWResearchTeam well worth it also a branch line comes off it and went into the old shell complex ,and a line also fed Carrington powerstation.Another line came off and went into Partington Junction. There's a few railway mans huts left ,and a few off the big lights .I've loads of pictures of everything even the old signal at Timperley. The line closed 1995 the top end of it ,but it's never been officially closed .Contact me if you want any photos or info 😉
Hello there Dave H 7348. Thanks very much. The music is an instrumental by ‘The Wilbur Project’ who are good friends of mine. The band have a website thewilburproject.co.uk/
So there is two signs that the angle could have had , one being speed restriction but to late next to bridge really. or the other for plate workers for a limited clearance sign. thats what i would tend to think it was. If you are wandering what that is . ive got a pts video that will explain .
why as they are not going to tear it down (gas main on it) dont the gas company the local council spend little money to maintain and change its use for cycling and walkers to also improve access over the ship canal
We didn’t go on whilst at SET as she was having a refurb and suffered a small fire so was closed off. I went back with my Parents a few years later whilst on killiks course to show them a boat.
Hello there, the way I understand the difference is that viaducts are usually a series of arches or bridge sections where a bridge is just one single arch or structure. Thank you so much for watching and commenting :)
