Novak Djokovic faces Daniil Medvedev in preparation for Wimbledon 2024 at the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic echibition. The most famous match between the pair was the US Open 2021 Final where the russian shattered Djokovic's dream of winning a calendar grand slam. Novak Djokovic has revealed that he is ‘pain-free’ ahead of Wimbledon next week, the serb has been recovering from recent knee surgery after he suffered a meniscus tear at the Roland Garros earlier this month. He'll be one of the favourites to land the spoils at Wimbledon if he hits the ground running at the tournament, along with the likes of Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Grigor Dimitrov and Medvedev himself.
As of June 2024 Djokovic is holding the following standalone records in men's tennis:
- 24 Grand Slam titles (including a record ten Australian Open titles)
- 40 ATP Masters titles
- 7 ATP Finals
- Triple career Grand Slam
- Double career Golden Masters
- 428 weeks as world No. 1
At the 2024 Paris Olympics Djokovic will be pursuing the elusive gold medal maybe for the last time.
